I think there should be open/close buttons on all remotes.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, no open/close button on remote

For the money you pay for a Blu-Ray player, this one is worth it. It's easy to navigate and runs smoothly.

Can be "smart" without all the extras. I needed Netflix and a few other gadgets that are included...simple!

Great basic blue-ray

I was looking for a good priced basic blue-ray player without all the bells and whistles and this product fit the bill. It does have a option to hardwire ethernet to get netflix and you tube but that does not concern me at this time.I am very pleased with performance so far. Good picture and easy to navigate. If anybody is looking for a product like this I would definitly recommend.

Nothing special, but it functions adequately. One big complaint- the player does not resume playback from the "stop point" when we have to stop watching a disc. My 10 year old Sony dvd player managed this without a problem. We have to go through the entire disc setup, warnings, previews, etc., whenever we resume watching a disc, and hopefully we have some idea of how far into it we were so we can find where we left off.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, missing very basic functions
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
