Speakers produce continuous high pitched squeal that is very noticeable with low volume (setting at 10 and below) or during quiet scenes of movies and radio stations. If not for the squealing, I would rate this higher
Pros: Features/Settings, hdmi input, am/fm radio stations
Cons: power buton and indicator on top of unit, left/right/up/down arrow buttons on remote clumsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

THE ONLY PROBLEM, SO FAR, IS GETTING THE LG TRUE SURROUND EQUAL TO THE T V SPEAKERS WITHOUT AN ECHO ??? HAVEN'T TRIED THE INTERNET CONNECTION YET! LOOKS GREAT , SOUNDS GREAT, A GOOD VALUE! IF IT WAS CORDLESS IT WOULD BE TOPS!!
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, Quality, blue ray & internet conn.

Good Sound, Limited input/output

This system has great sound quality. I was impressed with the surround sound compared to other systems I own which cost more. Down side is it is very limited on input/output capabilities. The only digital video in available is HDMI, but it will not allow HDMI in with component video out (must use HDMI out). You should be ok if your TV has HDMI.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Quality
Cons: Difficult to use, Features/Settings

Entry Level System
on May 3, 2010

I purchased this system because I own an LG television and this system has the best features in it's price range. The sound is adequate but not as good as my old outdated Yamaha system. The images from Blu-Ray disc are as good as any. I also purchased this system because I do not have room for a huge receiver and a seperate disc player in my components cabinet. Be aware, you get what you pay for. The speakers with this system are cheap and the speaker wires are throw away quality. The flip down door over the disc entry and USB port is flimsy and will easily break off if you're not careful. Don't be surprised if this unit needs a firmware update right out of the box. Your first disc should be the latest and hottest Blu-Ray disc such as Avatar to see if yours needs a update.
Pros: easy to use, good value
Cons: Features/Settings, style/design, poor speaker quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One of the BEST purchases ever!

I just bought this home theater system (the first of its kind) just over a month ago and continue to be extremely pleased with its everyday use! The only issue I discovered is setting up the distance of the rear speakers to your TV (I called customer service to help in this case) and eventually purchased speaker stands to balance the height of the front and rear speakers. I found directing the the rear speakers on a 45 degree angle toward the TV gave me the best results! I also was surprised upon learning that once I began setting up the system that it also features an AM/FM stereo output (in the Home menu displayed on your TV) once the antennas are hooked up! Something I never expected! Now you can preset your favorite radio stations and hear that awesome stereo surround sound thru the theater speakers! Some of the movies are so intense with surround sound that you feel the need to lower the volume! You cannot be dissappointed with this system!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, bass and surround sound

Awesome and Easy

Purchased the LBH335 and purchased an LG Flat Screen TV in July. I have found the installation to be extremely easy and the quality is absolutely ridiculous. I now find that I can no longer watch TV on anything but my LG system. The quality of sound and features from the HTIB are incredible. Just recently I hooked up my system to my home LAN. It was simply to do. My family will now watch Youtube and listen to Pandora from my LG system. LG keep the Netcast features coming...
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, integration to tv, lan / internet access

Great Features, Bad Sound

Netcast Features, HDMI In, 2 Optical, and Blu-Ray....Perfect on paper....But when you get home..unbox and connect equipment and you hear a tea kettle whistle coming out of your speakers and every time you change the cable channel you get a pop coming from the speakers because of the amplifier turning off and on or something it gets real annoying really quickly.
As long as i have the volume turned up loud enough to drown out the tea kettle whistle and I don't change the channel so I don't hear the annoying pop everything is fine. But if I listen to it at what i consider a decent bedroom volume (Vol Lvl 6-7), the whistle is very noticeable and that makes the good things it does less valuable.
Pros: Features/Settings
