A life saver!

I operate out of a home office in a rural area where there is no wired high speed internet. I require VPN and work with attachments and connecting to remote networks. This device has been a lifesaver and couldn't work without it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Date Usage
on December 9, 2011

We are getting nervous about the data usage. We have had for 1 week and have already use 1 entire GB of data with only 4 left. No streaming just regular networking at home, facebook, a few files sent and surfing. We did do a few iTunes songs and am worried in the long run this will be a more expensive investment than satellite. Our coverage is much better with the hotspot device then satellite that we had since we are in a rural area and it really feels like we are "finally" connected to the real world.
Pros: Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use
Cons: data usage

Great Product

I use this at home in a rural setting with very limited Internet access options, but we get AT&T 4G service and this device is GREAT! Web page load times are actually better than what I get at the office with our Comcast service. We usually have 2-3 laptops and an I-pad doing web browsing, email and gaming simultaneously with no noticable speed issues. Setup is a breeze, and I really liked the ability to hide the access key on the device display. The actual battery life until recharge is almost dead on with the specs. I have been in IT/networking for over 15 years, and I highly recommend this product.
Pros: ease of use, battery life

I upgraded from the USB 3G Lightening data card, and I'm very glad I did. This has full network compatibility through LTE 4G all the way back to Edge data connections. It still supports the 5 Wifi connections even on Edge too! Also, it does allow for direct USB tethering in addition to the Wifi connections! This was a great feature. The settings page offers an impressive full router settings page - I can customize LAN, DNS, Port Forwarding, etc. - GREAT control and GREAT features!
Pros: games, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use

Worst one i've seen so far...

I've had two mifi devices. This on i've had since September. I haven't had a month yet where i haven't had a problem. Theres a software glitch, from what tech support told me, and the counter wont reset for a new month. The latest thing is its randomly disconnecting. It'll say its connected but it wont be connected to a network type. You have to restart it when this happens. It does it so often its nearly useless. As far as ease of use that part isn't to bad, the screen is clear and easy to read. Honestly i've had mifi's from other services that maintain connection better. The only thing this thing has goin for it is a half way decent coverage area.
Pros: battery life, durable
Cons: poor navigation, software bugs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works for me!

Needed a hotspot. Was concerned with reliability and with coverage. Reception for all carriers is poor to below-average in our area. Well - got it started - getting basic 4G - probably not fast enough for movies, but for my purposes - absolutely fast enough. Setup cannot be simpler. Everything about it is straight forward and easy. The picture does not do the unit justice - it is elegant and about the size of my flip-phone. Battery life is not a major concern for me - if the power is out it should outlast my laptop. Don't have it long enough to speak of reliability.
Pros: ease of use, decent reception

The download speeds with the 4G LTE are INSANE, But the upload is something I have never seen before. I spend less time online now with work just because I get done faster with this device.
Pros: Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, sleek professional look
