Refrigerator Freezing Food

I purchased the above refrigerator on 9/1/2014. In the last month, I have thrown out more fruit and vegetables due to freezing than I care to mention. We have the temperature control set at the manufacturer's recommended setting. We have tried moving it one snowflake to the right. That doesn't help either. I just makes the ice cream, etc., soft. What do you feel is our problem and what is your recommendation

Poorly designed

I am disappointed in this refrigerator. I have had the service tech troubleshoot it. Finally, he replaced the thermostat. BUT, the ice cream is not hard. If you turn up the thermostat, it freezes the soda as well as other products in the refrigerator. I replaced my side by side refrigerator with this item to my regret.

No matter how the single control is set, either the temperature in the freezer or the refrigerator is wrong. If the freezer is properly cold the products in the refrigerator freeze. If the refrigerator is at the proper temperature the items in the freezer are not cold enough. For example, ice cream becomes almost soupy and cubes in the holding container are covered with liquid water. An attempt at repair was undertaken promptly by a Maytag authorized technician but the conditions remain.A secondary complaint; The drawer beneath the upper refrigerator shelf is too easily pulled out or dislodged.

Disappointed

Bought in September, 2014. Very noisy. Makes loud, moaning noises (compressor). Things freeze in the fridge and the freezer doesn't get cold enough...ice thaws just enough to all stick together and mushy ice cream. Needs separate controls for top and bottom.

Quality is terriable

Items freeze when they are to far to the back.Bins below cannot hold many items.If you turn the temp down ice cream gets soft.Quality is not like the ones from years ago.I bit this one will not last 5 years.

Loud and not very cold

There is only one control for the temperature. Can't get the freezer to keep ice cream hard without making the fridge to cold. Motor is very loud. If the crisper drawer is left open even the smallest amount the door hits and wont close. I am very displeased with this unit.

After 3 years this fridge died

I bought 3 years ago and 4 months ago items began freezing in fridge part. 4 repairs later including replacement of thermostat we have had freezer die (lost $500 worth of meets etc) and fridge side barely works! No mas!

Do not buy this Refrigerator!

I bought this 3 years ago and recently it started to freeze the food in the fridge. Then the ice maker wasn't making ice and the freezer started to get warm. Now the freezer is making only 3 ice cubes a day and the fridge is getting warm. Worst purchase ever and I can't get a repair man to fix it for a few weeks so in the mean time I have my food in a cool in the middle of my kitchen. At this point I am very frustrated and after reading some other reviews I don't know if I should buy replacement parts or buy a new fridge since people said theirs died even after replacing parts.
