Nice features, very stable base unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vicks germ free humidifier with UV technology is very easy to use. Lift off the tank with the handle, unscrew the seal and fill it up with water, replace the seal and set it on the base. It has a nice design and is very stable. It has 3 settings (H,M, L) to choose how much humidity you like. I really like the quiet setting (L), so when I am sleeping or watching tv I don't even know it is on. I also like the ease of using the vapopads. Just open the package and slide it in the slot, no messy gel to fiddle with. It gives off just the right amount of vicks vapor scent to help open up the sinuses for easy breathing. I also recommend reading the directions, which I don't usually do. Although it is very easy to set up, It does tell you to soak the filter before using. Which if I hadn't read them, I wouldn't have know to do that. Overall this is a nice humidifier, it is easy to use and does have the quiet/sleep setting which is nice to have if you are a light sleeper. The only thing I wish it did have is a lock for the tank, so you can pick it up all together for when I want to move it to another room or to take it to the tub and clean it. Other than that (not a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have) it is the perfect humidifier for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so happy to be getting this. When I opened it up and started to put together it was so easy. All you do is wet the filter before using and you can add the Vick’s little pad if you want and if not that’s ok. I personally have been using it because of sickness. It spreads Vick’s all through the place and helps with sinuses and colds. You can also leave it out and just filter the air like it is. It has really felt great to have it running. It cleans the air and just feels refreshing it has three settings. Two that more for the day and one more for night but all aren’t that loud at all but they sure do their job. It’s vwry easy to open the tank and fill it with water. I have had to do it daily if I run it all day. It’s very light and portable. I took it to my kids home when they were all sick to help them and it’s back at my house.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fresh and clean air but Not convenient and quiet

1. Fresh and clean air: My kids always feel uncomfortable about the nose, but after operating this humidifier, I found he did not have nasal congestion syndrome. Not sure if that machine works.
2. Can be used for aromatherapy: I have a small one oil diffuser but too small for my living room. This humidifier has a small hole where I can put some vapor disks. If my kids got some cough, maybe I can put some mint to comfort their noses.
3. Big and flat tank: The tank is big enough for my living room. and also can last for several hours. Also, the flat tank is easy to settle down on the table.
Cons:
1. Not convenient: When I open the lid, this humidifier still needs a filter and is not ultrasonic or filter-free. Not sure how many months I should replace the filter, but obviously needs more money to get another one. To extend the filter lifetime, I clean the humidifier by using a little white vinegar.
2. Not quiet: This humidifier still makes some noise such that I cannot sleep very well. You can hear the fan operating steadily.
3. Not strong: All tank and body are made by plastic, and the controller is the plastic button for you to twist. However, the tank is fragile. When I pour the water, I Inadvertently bumped into the sink and found the tank got some scratches.
4. UV bulb did not work. I do not know why they said include UV technology but cannot see how UV bulb can work.

Better Breathing !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a week ago for my kids and I'm so glad I did . I really was looking forward to using this for my girls they suffer allergies and ashtma issues and tend to get sick alot , So when I purchased the "Germ Free Cool Moister Humidifier " I knew I was getting the right thing and I truly enjoy the health benefits it helps with so I went home followed all the steps I needed to get that relief I was so looking for with extra added bonus of the the Vicks Pads it comes with was a blessing in didn't have to buy it separately . I placed my Humidifier on a firm level 6 inches away from the wall but out of town reach out to my kids and I pets I removed the water tank from the unit and filled it with nice cool water and secured it properly back on the unit , I soaked the filter in cool water and let it air dry , Don't wring out the filter as it can damaged it I gently folded a new pad into my unit and inserted into the filter slot , I opened the Vicks Pads and inserted it Vapo Pad slot on a angle turned it on once everything was into place secured properly . I set mine on High maximum for that moisture benefit works so well I noticed the difference and I noticed a big change in my kids breathing and sinus cold systoms so as night time came I went back in and adjusted the Humidifier on Low for the Night Time Sound Sleep Mode works like magic I am so impressed they actually slept through the night with not once waking up coughing or wheezing I was definitely relieved Kills up to 99% of Bacteria , Mold , Fungus!! Also Keeps Out Viruses Out Of The Water !. It's great for Large room sizes to works up to 24 hours of operation it's a 1.0 Gallon Capacity , self regulated evaporative system and it adjust output for maximum comfort and it is quiet and won't disturb your child/ children while asleep it's very soothing and the Vicks Pads work amazing releases the right amount into the air I love compact it is .. Always keep a eye on your filter in time it will need to be replaced with some hard water it can cause errosion and get very yucky and cause your Humidifier to not work properly .!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item is well made. It has three fan speeds, the lowest one is ideal for sleeping in that it's as close to silent as one can get. You can also purchase separately medicated tabs that go into a slot and can help clear your sinuses while sleeping. It does a better job than I had expected.

It's self regulating..(No more adjusting)..It's very quiet..(Couldn't tell it was on)..and it's UV technology kills mold..fungus..and bacteria..Not only is Vicks Germ Free Humidifier good for when you have the flu or a cold it's good for everyday use especially living where the air is very dry..And i can honestly say my plant's are enjoying it also. This Vicks Germ Free Humidifier can be used with menthol or sleepytime Vicks VapoPads.. Great product!!

I haven't been using the unit long butv I've already noticed the air in my house is not as dry, my skin is softer, and I can breathe again. I never believed all the hype around humidifiers, now I do. I recommend everyone give this humidifier a try.
