Great printer

I am really enjoying using this great printer. I could have skipped the wireless feature, and selected a different Brother printer. For I attached it to my Ethernet system. This allows me to print from several different locations. The printer is always available on my network and wakes up to print when needed. The duplex function works very well. Slightly oversized documents can be printed, but I wish it did accommodate even larger documents which could be reduced to 8 1/2 x 11. Ink use and print quality is excellent on this printer. My hope is that Brother will continue to support this printer with drivers into the future. I had bad experience with another company which stopped support after 3-4 years.

Great printer - Poor customer service

Printer works great. Best scanning software I've ever used. One complaint, which customer service has failed to help with. When I log on to my computer I never know if the printer will come on line. About 1 in every 5 times the printer is "offline" The only solution has been to unplug the USB cable and plug it back in. Brother insists it is the fault of my cable. I went so far as to purchase a new, six foot, shielded twisted pair cable. This has made no difference. I guess I'll have to learn to live with it. I have been using and maintaining computers since 1973 and have never experienced this situation.

Solid workhorse

Brother lasers are solid, and this one is no different. The drivers work well despite Windoze shortcomings, and in stark contrast to the poor drivers that HP puts out. Love the speed, love the simplicity of setup, love the features, love the ease of setting it up wirelessly. What more could you ask for?

Excellent Printer

This is our 1st Brother brand printer and it has proven to be an excellent printer. The lazar speed is awesome. We wanted a black only printer as most of our print jobs are B&W and this Brother HL-2280DW does a great job. We have always used HP printers before but the last one was so noisy and went though such an ordeal just to get the printer ready to print. The Brother HL2280DW has the page printed and cycled though before the HP gets started.

Solid Home Office Printer, Scanner and More

Just a solid all-around printer with all the extras. The price-performance is great. And cost for ink is very acceptable. In my book, Brother is leading the industry in everyday work horse printing and home office imaging.

I purchased 2 of these, 1 for my dad for X-mas and 1 for myself. He uses his daily and just loves it. I also use mine daily but use it mostly for scanning documents to file and limited printing as I use a Brother HL-2240 as my primary work horse. I would recommend either of these to anyone who depends on printers daily.
