Nice printer

The setup for this printer was very easy. Printing quality is great since I only wanted a b&w copier. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something that is quick and simple. It prints really so much quicker than the HP we had before this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was a great deal for a multifuntion printer.
Great printing, copying and scaning.
Great at two sided duplex printing too.

Now for it's many features, a few still escape, my figuring of them out.
It's not easy to set-up to an advanced security network (wirelessly) and I can't find or figure out how to use it as a fax for that type of function?security
So, neither function has been used, to date.
My only major gripe, is the small amount of toner provided with the purchase.
Replacement OEM toner is not cheap either, arrgh!
But for it's main purpose, it can do the job, for day to day tasks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this as a second printer so wanted one that I would not have to worry about the ink drying up so this laser is perfect. It is a smaller footprint than my other printer which is an inkjet. It prints quickly and is a network printer so I can send print jobs from several different computer's which have different versions of windows. I have had brother printers in the past and this one certainly lives up to my expectations for quality

Does what it needs to do

As far as printing, especially duplex, no problems. Copying duplex -- excellent. I got trouble when I wanted to switch from wireless to USB wired and I can't figure out how to get it to scan multiple pages into one *single* PDF document. Otherwise, it's a writer's best friend.

Frustrating

I like the quality of the printed pages & the copies & the duplex feature but am frustrated with some of the operations. When I use the manual feed I often get an error message that there is a jam when there is none. Scanning photos is not easy and I should have inquired about that and might not have bought the printer had I realized that scanning photos was noy going to be easy. Currently the printer will not print wirelessly and I am not sure why. I also think the control panel is a little confusing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great economical printer

Have had this printer now for 9 months, and have no regrets. It was very easy to install, and scans, copies, and prints flawlessly. We've never had any problems with it whatsoever. Features are readily accessible on menus. The only time I had to dig into the documentation was trying to figure out how to scan multiple-paged documents into a single pdf file. It can be done, but took some searching to figure out how. We especially like the low per-copy cost and the easy duplexing features - really saves money on toner and paper.
