A total ripoff

All Brother wants to do is sell cartridges. They have a low toner alert and actually shut down the printer when there are lots of copies that still could be made. Just look at the stuff on the web. This printer is different than the ones on the web and I haven't figured out how to override the alert. I had an HP for 12 years that finally died. I wish I hadn't made this bad choice. The idea of a laser printer is to save money. Not with this company as long as they chose to make you not use the product fully. I regret my purchase and probably will dump it and get an HP.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does almost everything for a low price

Laser printing is so fast, a teacher can make a class set in less than one minute. Laser toner does not run when wet and does not fade with age. This printer makes copies without a computer like an office copier, scans documents and photographs creating PDFs, and works in any room in the house wirelessly. It prints on both sides of the page with almost no delay. It has a single sheet feeder for labels and card stock, and it is so small it fits right on your desk! Prints from your iPhone using the Brother App. Sorry, no FAX, no document feeder, and no color.

Great Printer for B & W needs ONLY!

Have not used up the trial cartridge as of yet, so cannot confirm exact usage cost per sheet, but seems to be fairly economical. I most frequently use in the Toner Save Mode, which should help a lot. Wi-Fi compatibility and use seem great too. Maybe a bit noisy, but not overly loud. Purchased online during a great Black Friday promotion for a super low price for a Laser printer. Love the quality and features so far.

Darn Good Printer !

Purchased my first Brother laser printer several monts ago. Was so impressed with price/quality that I recommended two friends also purchase. They like theirs very much. Have now purchased my second one and remain very happy. Wireless operation is very reliable, print quality good, duplex great, comsumable costs relitive low and of course a great initial price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Reliable, Efficient, Printer!

I just wanted a printer that could print a lot of pages quickly. I knew a laser printer was the way to go, since I only had a need for black & white printing, and this Brother printer has been great so far. It's nice to have a laser vs. inkjet printer b/c I no longer have to worry about replacing ink cartridges that have dried out when not used frequently enough.
My two favorite things about this printer: 1) The extremely easy duplex option to automatically print on both sides of the page without having to manually flip & reload the paper, and 2) The wireless feature. Having to plug in my laptop or desktop computers to print with wired printers was a huge pain in the past, so this is a wonderful convenience!

Excellent Laser

Love that the toner cartridge and drum are separate purchases. Auto duplex printing works perfectly and is a brilliant option. Have connected the printer to my router with an ethernet cable rather than use wireless. Works fine from all pcs on the network. Have not been able to get scan to work properly from the printer side but it works fine when initiated from the pc (which is how I normally do it anyway). Toner low warning comes on very early in the life of the toner cartridge; not a problem but mildly annoying.
