Not safe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost I was so excited to finally try a kettle like this, as I've just been using a teapot for the longest time and I'm an impatient person so the idea that I could have boiling water somewhat quicker was very intriguing. I unpacked the kettle and read the instructions for use. Simple set up, simple easy to understand instructions and a visually appealing sleek design. My kids liked the LEDs and I liked that it didn't take up much space. I filled it up and turned it on. The first use went well, except for the fact that the top is very flimsy. Second use, I turned it on and left the room just as I did with the first use. A few minutes later I smelled a burning smell so I ran into the kitchen and noticed that the smell was coming from the kettle. The kettle doesn't automatically shut off as I expected it to from reading the instructions and somehow in what seemed like a few minutes the base had started to melt. I immediately removed this product from my home for fear of an electrical fire. Im very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fast and Hot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had a plug in kettle before this so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm very happy with this little kettle though. The base doesn't get hot at all, you turn it on from the kettle which you just set on the base. As soon as it's on it turns blue. I didn't time it but I had it half full and it was boiling in less than 5 minutes. It also cut itself off after it was boiling for a couple minutes. My husband is a truck driver so this is awesome in our truck. We can boil water in a couple minutes for noodles and Mac and cheese and hot chocolate and just anything. This would also be great for baby formula or even instant coffee. I really do love this kettle. I plan on using it for tea in the future. I absolutely reccomend this. Its quick and the base doesn't feel hot at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you love having your morning cup of tea this will be perfect for you. It's a nice size for you to keep on your kitchen counter or any place you want to put it on. Its cordless so you can take it with you from room to room. It heats up fast so you dont have to wait so long. I honestly never knew how much I needed one until I got one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] nice kettle, works well. it isn't overly beautiful or artful but it isn't unattractive either. it gets the job done well. i do not like to use the microwave often and this product helps me cut down on microwave useage.
