Terribly disappointed

I was enthusiastic to receive this scanner. After an hour (4 attempts) to install it I had to give up. I called my local technician who spent 2 hours and finally threw in the towel. I called Brother Customer Service and first talked to a young lady who gave up after 30 minutes. She transferred me to an "expert" who spent 3-1/2 hours doing everything in the book. He finally said the Drivers could not be installed on my computer (Dell 8300). We all received an error message ISO52 but nobody knew what it meant. I plan to call for a RA today. Regretfully disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not working for our needs

We have a fleet of semi trucks and purchased one of these as a test run in one of our trucks. Our drivers have to scan in load documentation and get it to us quickly so we can collect on our bills. This scanner is very touchy about networks and does not work well via WIFI. Also, it pulls all the papers through at once so the user has to sit and feed each sheet through individually to ensure each sheet is scanned. This scanner is causing more frustration than it is productivity. The driver put the CAMSCAN app on his phone and that works way better than this Brother scanner. We will not be purchasing any more of these for our company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Would be happier if the software was more user friendly, like the software with my DS 600 mobile scanner.
Otherwise I am satisfied with it

Way too Complicated

I found this machine very complicated and difficult to connect and operate. Having aleady owned several other brands of scanners, I was persuaded by the advertising as to the simplicity of this machine- nothing could be further from the truth. Not only that, but you have to put the documents in upside down and backwards to operate which makes no sense at all. Would I purchase it again - NO.
I had to call tech service to get this thing to work and I have both a PC and MAC and 20+ years of computer experience. Not a favorable product in my estimation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Product for the Price

I've scanned a few hundred documents so far with this little scanner. Love how little space it takes up on my desk. It does fairly well if a document isn't perfect flat, but I've had better scanners as far as accepting crumpled edges, etc. (but they cost a lot more money!) I haven't done more than 5 or so pages at a time because I feel it would have trouble since the documents I am scanning are not perfect paper right out of a printer, they are service records from field techs which means there are spills, rips, and wrinkles. Overall, very pleased with the unit for the price. Hoping it lasts us for a long time because we still have thousands of pages to scan!

The machine has been replaced once by brother. I had to replace the power cord. Still having trouble with power shutting on and off.

easy setup

We connected it to our wifi network and have used it only a couple of times. We liked being able to choose the type of output (jpg, et.) The scans have gone just fine too.
I would recommend this to a friend!
