I have had many phones for personal and business use - after trying a handful of cases I will no longer buy anything but OtterBox. GREAT protection from drops and doesn't make the phone feel bulky or hinder any use of controls on side. No reason to bother with a cheap case for a device that you depend on day in and day out. Price for what you get is a good balance for the commuter series. Nothing more to say, buy it now!

I like the case for my DROID Maxx, it definitely does the job in protecting the phone. I just wish there would have been a clip feature to attach it to my belt like the one designed for the Galaxy S5...

I am very pleased with the otter box droid maxx. The built in screen protector has a raised area in it that has caused problems with me trying to make contact on the key pad, although I do like the screen protector very much, if you could correct this one defect, I would rate it perfect.

Product fit well and seems to offer good protection. Only complaint so far is the screen protector cannot be installed without obvious bubbles if the purchaser is installing the first time. The protector is larger than the glass, which is good since the case holds it in place and reduces dust. However, by the time you figure out how to line it up after a couple of tries, the self-adhesive's static charge sucks dust and dirt from the air no matter how clean the screen is. That dust cannot be removed from the adhesive and causes unavoidable bubbles. A second screen protector would be helpful once you see how it must be installed.

Cons: need more than one screen protector

this product offers good protection which is why I bought it. However, it adds to the size of the phone and makes it impossible to carry in some pockets and purse slots. Overall, it is very worth having to protect my investment in the phone!

I just can't trade my Otterbox for my beloved's far inferior case, and he doesn't want white anyway, so I have several extra reasons for buying another Otterbox so soon. My case is far better than could be dreamed. All openings but camera covered with what seems very durable covers. Screen not obscured. The only drawback is that I can't quite tell whether I'll lock my screen or power off my phone when I press the top button. I think the "feel" for that will develop as I learn my phone. I'll always buy Otterbox if possible!
