I have to moto x with Att. Love the phone and I wanted a case that would protect it. I had the otterbox commuter case on my blackberry 9900 and my torch. When I took the cases off, my phones looked brand new. The case for the moto x adds very little bulk. But It feels extremely solid and fits absolutely perfect on the phone. The front wraps around the front so that if you drop it on the face it the rubber on the front will protect the screen. It slides easily in and out of my pocket and feels great in my hand. All the buttons still work perfect with the phone. I will only every buy otterbox cases for my phones.
Pros: High quality, Durable, doesnt add bulk, feels good in hand

I had an Otterbox for my Droid 4, and while Otterbox sent me many warranty replacements for a product that clearly had issues, it was very bulky, made in China, broke easily, etc. However, I knew that I wasn't the case (haha, pun not intentional) with their cases for non-slider phones, so I wanted to give it another shot with my new Moto X (yes, I'm sad there wasn't another slider phone on the market, but what can you do?).
I was also EXTREMELY pleased to find that the Otterbox Commuter for this phone was made in the USA as is the phone, as I refuse to buy things made in China if it can be absolutely avoided. That being said, I LOVE this case. It doesn't add much bulk at all, it is strong, durable, adds what will be amazing protection if I ever drop my phone, and you can still see a little of the color on the back from my MotoMaker design. Too bad there isn't a clear OtterBox; that would be my dream right now!
Also, if you ever have an issue, OtterBox's customer service is AMAZING, seriously. I am sold on this company as a customer for life. Thanks, OtterBox!

I'm very impressed with my OtterBox Moto-X Commuter case. First off, the OtterBox customer service folks quickly fixed an issue with my order.
Since I installed the case on my phone last month, I've somehow managed to drop my phone several times onto concrete and in the dirt. No damage to the phone at all, and the case doesn't even show a mark.
I really like the raised rubber edge around the screen. Makes it much harder to 'score a direct hit' on the screen. The sealed 'button pressers' and the plug covers do their jobs and don't interfere with the phone. I've been in a few good rains, and the phone stayed dry. Good stuff!

I ordered an otter box for durability for my new phone. I did not want the big bulky version so opted for the commuter case and it is doing its work. It has been dropped a few times and no damage to phone or case. I like the bright color choice so I can find it easily in my purse or on the counter (picked bright blue).
Only wish it came with a more durable screen protector like the chunkier otter box version. I have a custom Moto X and the case does cover the entire customization but I was able to get a fun color for the case so that makes up for it.

I would have given this case 5 stars except I do not like the screen protector enclosed and had to purchase one separately. The enclosed one stops right above black of upper screen. The one I purchased goes all the way up to edge with cutouts for camera and microphone. Much better design. My finger kept 'catching' on edge of screen protector and I found it uncomfortable.
Additionally, I find the Otterbox masculine in design, but I knew that when I ordered it. I picked a gorgeous phone, sleek, that fits well in my hand and wrapped it up in this ... protective case. It's kinda like wrapping it up in a condom. You don't wanna use it, but you must.
Ok, I admit it. It has protected my phone well. Thank you for that. But is is ugly. Even with the blue case? It is just ugly.

The one thing that drives me nuts about this case is that the hole where the headphone jack needs to go in is far too small. Only the cheapest, smallest headphone jacks will fit. Any real auxiliary cable simply will not fit. This case is designed to be put on your phone and never taken off, and this makes the hole problem worse. If I wanted to play music in my car, I physically have to remove the case from the device, risking damage to the case and device each time. Also being a huge hassle.
The audio hole needs at least 1mm more on all sides. I don't know why such a simple thing was overlooked, and is overlooked on so many phone cases. I thought OtterBox had higher design principles than the other companies.
That being said, it's a great case. Solid protection. I have no fear in dropping my brand new phone. I do not use the screen protector, screens are scratch resistant by themselves and the lip on the case protects from fall damage.

Cons: audio port too small
