The case gives me confidence that my Note 10.1 is well protected. I also like the feel as I hold the tablet. The shallow grooves on the sides give me confidence that the tablet will not slip out of my hands. A great product that I would recommend to anyone who has a Galaxy Note 10.1.

I love the case, but the pen is unusable. I bought this particular tablet (Samsung Note 10.1) specifically to take notes with. The pen that comes with the tablet just will not work. I am very disappointed. The customer service I got from Otterbox was top notch and I wouldn't buy anything else. I have otterbox cases for my Kindle Fire, Samsung Galaxy SIII, for my son's iPod touch and I was so looking forward to this one.

I love this OtterBox! It took the worry out of handling my tablet, to the point of my allowing my little kids to play games on it. Though it naturally adds weight to the device, the peace of mind is more than worth it. The price was very reasonable for the product.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, 2014 Edition

In 2013 I used a Galaxy Note 10.1 in an Otterbox Defender case. I recently purchased the 2014 Edition tablet and a new Otterbox Defender case. The 2014 Edition tablet has been redesigned and resized. The openings in the Defender case I purchased on May 12 do not align with the buttons and stylus slot and the tablet slides around inside the case.

This case does not fit the 2014 version of the Galaxy Note 10.1. The 2014 tablet must be smaller than the earlier versions because the 2014 tablet slides around inside the case, and the buttons and power port do not line up with the case's access points. I'm sure its a fine case, but it doesn't fit my tablet.
The product description should have stated that is for the older version of the Galaxy Note 10.1.
Cons: wrong size

Thank you Otter Box!! I protect all my families gadgets with OTTERBOX. I have had the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1, since my birthday in early December 2012 and have been patiently waiting for this case to be released.....I just placed my order. I can't wait. I will post a follow up review after I receive it.....I am pretty sure it will be OUTSTANDING, as every other Otter Box product I have purchased....they have met or exceeded my needs every time! In closing....Thank you Otter Box!!

The design cover for the Otterbox Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition defender series is very very poor! Can not make use of the on/off buttons, the volume contols, nor the settings and back buttons!!! I already sent an email for a notification number to return. They claim to respond within 48 hrs., it has been over a week and no response! Therefore, it is obvious that their customer service is not up-to-par! Finally, the Otterbox case that was sent to me was obviously a returned one because there were finger print smudges all over the case and the case was very dirty with purple smudges, I had to wipe it down with a damp cloth!!!
Cons: very very very poor design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
