not really universal

It's too small. I bought this for my 8.4 pro so I can dock it and play games. Can't really do that with this be it only mounts vertically. And even at that it's not very stable at all. This was made for the galaxy tab 3 7.0, it says it right on the box. So, it's not really universal be the size is all wrong.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, too small., not universal
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the usb has never work properly, it would charge the tablet but would never connect to another device. After a month or two it doesn't even charge my tablet. But it dose function as a nice stand.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, doesn't work
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product is useful when you are using a Bluetooth keyboard and is excellent for charging and for docking when watching movies or playing games.

Love it! It's simple, elegant,effective, and well-priced. I bought 3 -- 1 for home, one for the trailer, 1 for general travel, PLUS, it doubles as a stand to watch video and movies. Love it!

Not made for device w/ case or cover ...

This unit is useless when you have a cover on the device . You're better off just using the charger that came w/ the device & save yourself some money .
