A nice multi function printer

The MFC-J835 is a great multi-function printer, probably the best one I ever purchased so far. It even looks good!
The main problem I have had with this printer was getting it up and running. The Quick Set-up Guide is very hard to understand and it took me two phone calls to tech support over two days to get it going. This was quite disappointing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Good: quiet operation,seperate ink ( replace only what you need), ink price is reasonable, Super easy to set up

MUCH better than HP.

Had the MFC-J835DW for abt 8-10 months..
ONLY negative is difficulty in setting up various functioning. partiicularly disk printing.
This is my fourth Brother product in past few years. Older ptrs & fax mach(20 yrs old and still working fine). Been around the horn with Other ptrs including Canon, HP and Kodak. ALL the Brother prods I have purchased have outperformed and outlasted all the other brands I've had.

Great when it works

I don't know if it's my lack of expertise or some inherent problems of the Brother's, but I have had "connection" problems (from printer to iMac, or vice versa) several times and have had to call the help line over this, more than once. It works for awhile, then happens again. I love this all-in-one when it's working.

A very nice machine

I bought this machine from Best Buy at a very reasonable price and it has served me well. It is nice-looking on your desk and it does all it's supposed to do in a very nice fashion. It is highly rated by a consumer's magazine and deservedly so.

Best Printer for the Money

I bought this printer for a great deal at Best Buy. It does everything I want it to (and more). I like that the high yield inks are not cost prohibitive. That is a huge benefit. I have already recommended this printer to a friend and he is ready to buy. You can't go wrong with this printer (and I am an IT tech who is very picky!)
