Disappointed that printer requires cleaning after only printing/copying just a few copies. I did not experience this problem with my previous Brothers
product.

Love this printer!! Like the fact that you replace the inks individually instead of getting all the inks in one cartridge. Would definitely buy another Brother when I need another printer.

I have purchased many printers and all in ones and 2 different air printers and this one tops all the others. I recommended this one to a friend and she absolutely loves it. I would recommend this to everyone who needs an all in one.

I replaced an old Brother MFC unit that needed to be replaced due to age and useage.
I purchased the new unit unit due to the good service that I had recieved from the old one.
The new unit is easy to use, quick, responsive and has an extremely good print quality.

Small, compact, light weight and easy to use! I love that it is wireless; 4 separate colors so that you do not have to buy one color cartridge and not sure which one is out!
Prints quickly, great for pictures, posters, faxing and so much more! the price was the best feature $99.00. I paid 7x more than that for my old, clunky all-in-one!

Good, very fast printer at a good price point. Have occasional problems with streaking, even after cleaning, and it will not handle a standard 3x5 index card. 4x6 works just fine.

Photo printing is not good

This is my second Brother all in one multi-function machine. For everyday use it is an excellent printer. However, for printing photos I find my Brother MFC-5490CN prints much clearer and better pictures than the MFC-J835DW printer. Based on all of these excellent ratings, maybe I just got a Brother machine that doesn't print pictures well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
