Quiet, effectively dries.

We bought this a month ago and have been quite pleased. it's quiet and very effective at drying all items with default settings, regardless of the load size and materials we've thrown at it.Initially I wished that the top surface was flat to set items on so they didn't fall off when running the machine, but the slightly convex surface I've found is a good surface for those "lay flat to dry" clothing items.

Works well but loud

I bought the washer and matching dryer a month ago. They were working fine, then after 3 weeks the washer was on spin cycle and started banging loudly. Since I had read reviews of related washers that had the inner drum separate from the motor, I thought that had happened. I called Whirlpool and they coordinated a service visit. Turned out nothing was wrong- we just have to use the "bulky items" setting whenever a towel is in there. It's still working great and the service was very efficient. It's just a little loud so I'm glad out washroom is far from the rest of the house.

As I mentioned above, the dryer has, among the other positive things, a raised area on the top that prevents items on top of the dryer from falling behind it. This dryer has all of the features that I wanted - particularly the sensing of the dryness that turns the dryer off without having to constantly watching for the correct dryness to keep checking on it. Second, it has a large capacity for our daily load(s) of laundry. We have a 93 year handicapped old relative living with us that has to have his bedding, pajamas, etc. washed every day. We have never had to wash a second load of his clothed because of the large capacity of this dryer.An excellent clothes dryer.PS - I was once a Maytag service man and have a good idea of what customers wanted for their their laundry equipment.

Extras large capacity & does the job

I have had this dryer over a month now and I am extremely happy with it. The extra large capacity and the wide range of settings makes getting laundry done an easy job.
