great stove

recently installed, still learning all the features, very impressed with the burner configuration. The center oval burner is a great feature if indoor grilling is something you like. very evenly heats a grill pan. power burner very effective for bringing cold tap water to a boil faster than conventional burners. this gas range is a much better cooking method than the electric range I have been using for the last few years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Range Looks Nice

I just had this range delivered 4 days ago, so I cant speak to all the features but, the clock / readout on the panel is barely visible unless you have the lights turned out in the room. The timer alarm is also very soft. It kind of defeats the purpose. I still need to check the oven temperature to ensure that it is accurate, but the stove top is very nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Should have picked a different model

With my old faithful GE range/oven dead, I had to chose a new one. Naturally I wanted to reproduce the great experience I had with my old appliance. I decided to upgrade to 5 burners, and with no time to go to the store, I based my choice on internet pictures. I thought the 5th burner was round and small and was very surprised to see that it is oval and very long. I have no use for a griddle burner and it gets in the way of cleaning. But I did not want to go through the hassle of an exchange. Aside from that, the burners are larger than the previous model I had from GE and unfortunately the stove is not as convenient. The oven performs well (after getting rid of those terribly toxic fumes).
Less than 2 months after my purchase I already have scratches on the surface of the range that don't go away. My previous GE model had a much higher finish quality.

91-year-old father loves it!

Bought this with/for my 91-year-old father because he likes to bake and GE is known for accurate oven temps. He loves it. It's a mid-level stove with a good price. Easy to set oven temp. Display shows him when oven has finished preheating. He doesn't use center burner, but when he sells his house the new owner might. Uncomplicated. Burner grate is continuous so it's easy for him to slide a pot off the burner without risk of it tipping. Self-cleaning oven so it's easy to keep clean. Price was a little more than he wanted to pay but was reasonable for what he got. He and I are very pleased.
