Night vision distance of 150 feet only holds true if there is another light source. Motion detection area is narrower than the camera viewing area. Had one camera go bad- red images. This was replaced- no hassles. Setting up remote viewing took some time and effort. Still can't get it to send an e-mail notice. Set screws strip real easy.

I received these cameras about two weeks ago and the packaging was done to perfection. the camera picture quality is great and setup is easy. Very happy with the Sentinel PRO Widescreen 21161 16CH Security DVR System. I am glad I purchased this system rather than a system from a local security camera. This product is very good and I would recommend it to everyone as a great unit for any security project. Also, the customer service is excellent and very helpful.

Purchased the 21162 product. Camera pictures are very good. Installation is not difficult. Instructions are easy to follow. Very easy to set up the DVR and iPhone viewing. Would recommend product to others.

Great Package (DVR,8 Cameras) for Price Steal!

I admit that I haven't made the actual installation on the site, but have been testing the equipment (everything worked as it should). The cameras have great resolution, and really do a great job of illuminating the area with the IR LEDs when the light gets low.
My final installation location will not have a Monitor, or Internet Access. I am working thru the set-up to use a Wireless Router for access by a nearby IPad, Smartphone, or notebook computer. Great installation information available from Defend.
Really impressed with their contact personnel.

Nice system for the price

I bought this system and two additional DVR'S to create Three, 2 or 3 camera systems. Installation was easy. Night cameras are excellent. Can see much further than the 150 advertised. Installed two of the cameras at 600 ft using quality RG6 cable and reception is excellent

Freedom to travel

After 40 years of working. We wanted to do a little traveling. The one way to keep an eye on the house was a video security system that we could access away from home. I did my homework and looked at so many systems, most all of them breaking the bank. I called and met Michelle on the phone, after some conversation about my needs, I purchased an eight camera system, with wide angle cameras that see in the dark of night, can be accessed away from home and on an iPad in the home at any time, and it has a 2 terabyte hard drive 2 TB. Wow! Installing it was a lot easier than I thought it would be, by the next day we were up and running. Not the most tech savvy person around, I called for some help, guess who was helping out as an IT guy, yep Michelle. Now we can go traveling and see everything going on. The system even will send me an email if there is motion on certain cameras. Buy this system, the most bang for your buck, you will ever find!

EXCELLENT PICTURE QUALITY

I had some initial problems getting the external network to function properly but managed to get it fixed quickly by relocating the mini Sprint AIRAVE tower to the end of the router versus before the router. Quality of the picture provided by the camera's are incredible ( I have 8). This is my first home video surveillance system and I would definately recommend this to anyone whether it is their first or subsequent system.
