Very poor refrigerator

This refrigerator is poorly designed. There is no way to control the freezer and refrigerator sections separately. The consequence was that the freezer section never got below 10F no matter what I set the cooling thermostat to. At the coldest setting, liquid items in the refrigerator would freeze but the freezer still would not go below 10F and ice cream was always soft.I called for service but the service technician said it was performing "... up to specifications." Whirlpool customer service confirmed that there was no way to control freezer and refrigerator sections separately.Furthermore, the refrigerator section interior had sharp edges that should have a cover but the Whirlpool approved serviceman said that no cover is supplied on that model.I talked to the retailer and they "bought" back the unit. I purchased a competitor's similar model and it had separate controls and performs like it should and like expected.I do not recommend this model.

Will not last long

I bought this model in July of 2010. The mfg date was Jan 2010. It lasted three years before it no longer defrosted and also kept the refrigerator portion cool. Buy cheap, get cheap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This purchase was not really a necessity but I had wanted an extra refrigerator for my garage and when I saw this one, checked the price, ( andasked my husband.............we bought it right on the spot and have enjoyed having it in our home

This refridgerator is an overflow for our kitchen, and is kept in our garage. It has been great, absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We had the hottest and dryest summer on record this year and the refridgerator worked perfectly!
