3D is what got me!

For a long time I didn't want to get a smartphone because of the data plan commitment, but this phone totally hooked me with the 3D. I've had it for a week. Overall it's a totally awesome phone, but there are a few drawbacks.
Pros: Obviously, the 3D. It's even better than the Evo 3D! (I tested them side-by-side) I like the big screen, and I don't mind the weight of the device. It does get a little tiring sometimes though.
Cons: There are several in this category, unfortunately. First is the battery life. I've never had a smartphone before so I can't really compare it to anything, but it's not as good as I was hoping. It did help when I figured out how to turn of some settings and not let programs run all the time. I went from charging it 4 times a day to 2-3 times a day, depending on use. Another thing is the lack of a camera shutter button. It has a 3D button right where the camera shutter button "should" be, and sometimes I end up clicking it because I forget. I usually would rant about the SD card being under the battery cover, but this phone makes up for it by being able to hook up to the computer with the syncing cable. Another con IMO is that it comes with froyo instead of gingerbread. It also doesn't come with Swype (though I downloaded the beta version from the swype site) and the netflix app won't work yet.
Two things about my specific handset: the indicator light never seemed to work and last night it bricked itself for no apparent reason. I wasn't trying to root the phone, I just turned it off to go to class. It was the first time I had turned it off since I got it, and when I turned it back on it got stuck in a boot loop. (I didn't put this in the cons rating because it's probably just my own handset, not the device in general) So I am taking back the handset tonight to see if I can find out what's wrong with it and get a new one. I'm not sure if the bricking happened because of something I downloaded or if the handset was just defective. I'm thinking it may be defective considering the notification light didn't work.
In any case, if this phone bricks again before the 30-day trial period is up I'm going to get something else.
Pros: Wi-Fi capable, good for texting, camera/video quality, speaker
Cons: battery life, software bugs

The only reason to buy this phone is if you were using the 3-D. That part of the phone is pretty cool. This phone freezes up almost everyday and makes a horrible high pitched sound while being charged. A very basic android phone and I'm disappointed with it because the smartphone I got two years ago works better than this one and basically has all the same features minus a front camera and the 3-D option.
Pros: camera/video quality, ease of use
Cons: battery life, freezes
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love phones, first of all. I've had many of them. This is my favorite one of all by far. I had both the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4, and didn't like either of them as much as I like this one. I don't really use the 3D feature, but it's cool for bragging every once in a while. Overall, great phone!
Pros: tools, menus, camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: battery life

Great technology, bad battery

Well I have had this phone for one month and I must say I am impressed with the 3d effects and the abilities of the camera(minus this unit only being 5 mpg). The ability to connect to my 3d TV and watch 3d you tube and movies on my phone is excellent! the talk is clear and text simple. The standard smartphone. It could be a little faster but it suites my needs.
The battery however is absolutely horrible. I've seen this phone die in an hour. Even in standby it dies. The display scratches easy and the phone is slightly hand heavy.
In all if I had another options I'd get a galaxy phone for display reasons. And I have to wonder why on Earth this phone came with android 2.2 on it????? I mean really!
Pros: tools, menus, games, ease of use, 3d
Cons: battery life, poor navigation, operating system, software bugs, freezes, durability, slow processing, camera should be 8 mpeg
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good phone but comes up short due to battery life

Love this phone to death. I recently upgraded from the HTC Aria, and fell in love with this phone the very first day. The phone operates very smoothly, (i.e. scrolling web pages, pictures, transitions, etc.) and the call quality is phenomenal. Little or no background noise, and never have problems with the other person hearing me. The camera is very good for only being 5mp. Both pictures and the HD videos are very sharp and easy to see. The 3D part of the phone is pretty neat as well, but can give you a headache with extended periods of use. The only con that gets fairly frustrating is the battery life. I use several different app managers, and even then I rarely can get the battery to last more than a day, which becomes a nuisance when I do't bring my charger with me wherever i go. All in all, this is a solid phone with loads of cool features, good camera & call quality, but the battery life is what keeps me from giving it 5 stars.
Pros: menus, ease of use, good for texting, games, camera/video quality, speaker, durable
Cons: battery life

I had a terrible text messaging phone until i could get an upgrade to a smartphone. i always had my eye on this one but i thought about it and thought it would be stupid for me to buy a 3D phone. i went to the store and checked it out some more and i knew it was going to be a good phone. it is really amazing and it helps me very much with everyday life. im very lucky to have this phone. i do highly recommend this phone.
Pros: tools, menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting, 3d
Cons: battery life

it crashed after 2 days

It only has a 2.2.2 Android OS and can't be upgraded. I tried. I opened an app that came with the phone and then it crashed. Thankfully I only had it a couple of days and could return it. The HD screen and 3D was fun while it lasted, but it loses its novelty after a few minutes. I would prefer better battery life and faster processor than the graphics. I've had several smartphones so this would have been my first Android. Was disappointed. Going back to Apple.
Pros: camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use
I have had the phone for 2 month and it broke like 4 or 5 times to get it fixed i payed like 2 or 3 times more that i payed for the phone itself! it keeps on getting stuck on the att boot up! Its so annoying i have so much information on it and when i want to use the info the phone shuts down and ereases everthing its beyond annyoping! i was a owner of a iphone 2g and i found a whole lot better than this piece of JUNK!
Pros: tools, menus, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, games, camera/video quality, speaker, durable
