I wanted a small, stylish sling type bag to house one camera and a few smaller lenses for day trips. I had narrowed it down to this model and a Lowepro AW100 Slingshot. I am familiar with Lowepro, I own several camping packs, and they are good quality, but something kept pulling me toward the Case Logic sling. Firstly it is far more stylish and modern looking, but also having laid out all my gear and taking careful measurements I determined I would have plenty of room and could always hang a water bottle or lens case off if I really need it.My Olympus E 510 and 70 300mm lens fit in the main compartment perfectly. I can also carry a 500mm mirror lens in the top compartment and a 9 18mm UWA lens. There is a pocket for my cell phone, one for batteries cards and a filter or two. That is about all I need to carry other than a small waterproof sheet rolled up that I use to lie on when photographing close to the ground. I do have a small Gitzo tripod that I can carry attached, but really I prefer to just carry that in my hand if I take it at all.If you are looking for a small, stylish, well built sling case you owe yourself a serious look at this one.

The case worked great. I bought it for using my SLR camera when skiing and it worked exactly as expected. It was very easy to rotate around for riding the lift or stopping to take pictures. The web holder made it easy to remove and store even with gloves on. I also plan to use it for hiking and biking this summer.

On the good news front the case is well made of high quality materials. It is also very comfortable to carry. Better yet it is just deep enough to allow me to carry my D7000 with the 70 300 mm telephoto attached as long as I remove the lens shade. While it takes a little effort, there is also enough room on the left side for the carrying strap to be tucked into the case as well. The main pocket is also more than large enough to carry the 70 300 when I replace it with my 16 85 telephoto. Now the bad... While I can't imagine ever going into the field without a spare battery, a couple of spare cards, a couple of filters, a cable release, some lens tissues, and a few other odds and ends there is simply no real place to stash these items. There could have been, mind you, except the space was used for a "Tripod Holder" that is next to useless for serious photographers. The only tripod you could carry with this pack would be one of those wobbly tabletop jobs. Any serious tripod would be far too heavy and bulky to carry with this pack.So what could have been a great pack is now only a pretty good one that requires you to either carry another pack for the sort of items referred to above or leave them home. I wound up using a fanny pack but in the winter when wearing a heavy outer jacket this can be a real hassle! All this said, having owned 3 Case Logic camera packs I would have to say that this company offers great quality at a very reasonable price. Now if only they will add a decent sized pocket to this otherwise excellent pack we'll be all set.By the way, a few reviewers complained about the zipper on the main compartment being of poor quality and hard to use. There's nothing wrong with this zipper it's just that like all zippers it doesn't like turning sharp corners when pulled at a certain angle. A simple solution is to use one of the two zippers for 75 of the opening, and the second zipper only to open the remaining short side.

Very cleverly made. Roomy storage areas. A bit tricky to get on. Can't wait to use it on my next big walking vacation!

I love the sling on the inside of the case. It does not however work with my tele photo lens that has a flower lens hood. So I usually do not have the sling in place when the lens is on. I have found that when I pit the camera with the big lens in, the flower hood tends to get snagged on the "flaps" for the sling hole. would it be possible to make the hole either bigger or Velcro both sides so that I could take it off if i need to?
