This is my first DSLR type camera. I LOVE IT!! Still learning some of the features but the menu screens are helpful and the owners manual is very helpful on how to frame your shot. Mine came with the 18-55 lens and I'm happy with it, but do want a longer range lens...maybe Christmas. Love the post to Facebook, email, and smartphone connecting! Haven't played with Lightroom 5 yet, but several photographer friends have told me I'll love it. What really sold me on this is the weight of the camera!! It's INCREDIBLY LIGHT! Perfect to hike with and still get phenomenal pictures!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

In today's world, photographers need to be able to take high quality images, and they need to be able to deliver those images around the world quickly. Ideally, they should be able to do this without the need for a laptop, or even another device in the mix. The Samsung Galaxy NX takes care of all of this with wonderful completeness.
First, you have the amazing Samsung APS-C sensor. Coupled with their DRIM-IV processing engine, this means you can capture and process amazing images with ease. And, of course, it's an NX, which means that all of those amazing Samsung lenses can be used interchangeably with this camera. The 30mm fixed and the 85mm fixed spring immediately to mind as worthy upgrades, not to mention their new Pro series of lenses! Heaven!
Now, take that camera, which is almost NX-30-like in quality, and couple it with a full-service Android body *AND* a 4G LTE data radio. Think of the possibilities! First, think about photo editing. Photoshop touch, Lightroom mobile, and many other editing apps, all installable and useable right on the camera. Even more powerful are the delivery and upload options. Think of them! Facebook! Flickr! Google Plus! Instagram! Email! Dropbox! And, of course, whatever newer technologies might arrive in the future. That's the beauty of this camera: Some new editing tool or delivery or posting service out there? Just install the app, and you're golden!
When you consider the auto-backup/auto-upload options available in some of these apps, this means that, in essence, as fast as you can take photos, your camera will have them uploaded to the net and available to whomever you wish - your followers, your news feeds, your employer, your family, whomever. Automatically. Instantly. Over the air.
No more shooting, then trying to transfer photos to your phone, or, worse, lugging out your laptop for a developing session. Where the Galaxy NX shines is in the all-in-one, end-to-end SOLUTION it brings to the photographer who needs to get their pictures out there NOW. No other camera in the world lets you do what the Galaxy NX does, and I am so delighted to see that this camera is still available for sale, because it is both worthy and relevant of a lustrous future.
The NX runs Android 4.2.2, and, no, it has not been updated beyond that as of a year ago and, no, that does not matter. Don't buy any device for what it *might* be someday, or what "updates" it might get. Buy a device for what it is. Today. Now.
And what the Galaxy NX is is the ultimate blend of high-end photgraphy, powerful editing, and online connectivity, that is sure to give you the best and most seamless photography acquisition and delivery experience out there, bar none! The display is bright, the battery is solid, the performance is amazing, and, I won't lie, every time I turn this camera on it brings a tear of joy to my eye.
Cons? A few minor points:
First, the camera does of course have microphones built in, and a speaker... but the Phone app is missing, even from this, the international version. Use Hangouts or Skype if you wish, they work fine, but, alas, no Phone app.
And, along those lines, there is no "rear-facing" camera, so if you want to video chat - which you can! - you need a big mirror to stand in front of.
I wouldn't have minded a few more physical controls, but the i-Function lenses help with that immensely.
And the only MAJOR con I can see to this camera is simply this: There's NO GALAXY NX 2 - YET!!! For myself, I sure am hoping that Samsung will refresh and carry on this fantastic concept of NX_quality camera plus Android body. The Galaxy Camera, the K Zoom, all worthy, and I own those as well... but nothing beats the Galaxy NX, and I sure hope it lives on in future upgraded models!
In short, if you love photography, if you love being online, if you love being connected, buy this Camera NOW.
This is the camera you've waited your whole life for. As Samsung likes to say, Next is Now!

This hybrid camera is the perfect bridge from enthusiast to professional photography.
Incredibly fast AF, so the money shot is never missed. Lots of lens options.
The information about the functionality of the lens is sent to the body of the camera, so that any options that you have to control the lens shows up on the screen. Each additional lens you may choose to add has different functionality...screen options CHANGE with each lens because the camera KNOWS which lens is on.
Pricey but worth it.

It's fantastic to have everything you need inside your camera. It's amazing how easy is to share or edit the pictures with this product. The bad part for me is that it's not possible to use all the camera's function inside third part apps, hope samsung work on that soon.

This camera was an instant yes for me when I spotted it! It's best of both worlds, you have your professional NX combined with the user-friendly, highly advanced and beautiful features/layout of the Galaxy smart camera! Not only do I have all the amazing features of the camera, but it's pretty much my phone on camera phone. I can send message , (sharing photos ) FB, Google maps and much more! Worth every single dime. Highly recommend.

Our family is Samsung. From the Smart TVs throughout the house to the tablets we use for work and for remotes for tv to the Note 3's and gears that we own. And this Camera is no different. .. SIMPLY AWESOME! It's a professional camera that has step into the age of technology. I can't wait to see what comes out from Samsung in the future
