great phone, out performs others at 5 times the price

My phone is the 625 that I picked up as an unlocked phone in a retail chain store in the UK when I was there on travel. Fast, decent battery life and camera performance and support MS office. Liked it so much when I returned to the US I took my US sim from my HTC One M7 and have been using the windows phone since then for about three months. Updated the OS and have 8.1 with Cortana support. Cortana is excellent and always makes me laugh when I ask her to tell me a joke or do an impersonation. Well impressed and am looking at getting the 1520 now.

Short on Features

It does not have a reverse camera for video or a selfie like my Lumia 920 had. The speaker is on the back of the phone which makes it hard to hear sometimes. It is a disappointment in general.

I love this phone!!!

This is my first smartphone, although my husband and kids have iPhones. I never liked them, and as a Windows user have a hard time switching back and forth. I got an Android tablet and loved it, plus have Windows on my laptop and at work.
My complaints start with the volume is too low, even at the maximum setting.
Also the purple color for some icons grosses me out and can't be changed. I moved them to the bottom but my camera and shopping list are still up top. It's an ugly color. It should match the color scheme or be neutral.
And the camera should face both ways. I had to Skype to testify in a legal matter and between the low volume and camera the grand jury mainly saw my ear!
Other than that, it's a great product for the money. I may have shopped around more had I known the volume is so low, though. I hear they do not plan to address that issue. It's a shame, since it could be an even better product if the ringtone and music could be heard better.

My 2nd Lumina. They are dependable and easy to run. The Cortana help voice is really easy to use and the answers I get back are very useful and it eliminates having to type!!

The Nokia Lumia 635 is a great phone with excellent features the only thing missing is a front facing camera and a flash

I am huge fan of Windows phones! I love the growth Windows has made. The Nokia 635 is a great addition to the Windows family, I only had it 1 day and the only thing I miss is the front facing cam and a flash. Both if my previous Windows phones were HTC's.
