Lumia 635 Surprises

My last phone was the GS4. I wanted a Windows phone. Not knowing much about Windows Phones, I did a little research. The Lumia 635 was a nice starting point. Solid reviews and praise sold me. When I started navigating through the phone, I was stunned at its ease of use and accessibility. The only gripe is the Camera's 5MP. And still I can hardly tell a difference coming from the GS4. I love the Lumia 635 and nothing but praise. Highly recommended

I was amazed by how well this phone worked after upgrading from my Lumia 520! Even in places where I would not get service I had incredible service and it was all LTE at that. And as a hotspot for internet access it works amazing for my Playstation 3. LTE service that did not lag playing Defiance or Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. GREAT PHONE EVERYONE!!!
Pros: Personal, Business, ps3 broadband access

Great Phone

from Richmond,
I am used to using a Samsung Galaxy S3 and decided to change. I am surprised at how fast it is. Facebook loads very fast and creating and sending an email was impressive. Although the front facing camera is not there, this phone takes fairly decent pictures. I love the size without it being too large. I do recommend this phone to anyone looking to make a change from their current phone.

Good phone - happy I bought it

I bought this phone to replace a defective iPhone I wasn't going to repair, especially considering that it was going to cost me more to do that than to just use the Lumia 635 until my next upgrade. I had my reservations but I took a chance since I just didn't like most of the Android phones I could afford to consider.
I have not been disappointed.
The phone is well-designed for its price. Build quality, screen quality, battery life, and, most importantly, call and audio quality are great.
I do wish that there was a front-facing camera, and Windows Phone, itself, does have serious issues with app availability and functionality (that I hope will be alleviated by Windows 10), but those are minor issues considering how good the phone is otherwise.
TL/DR: If you can't afford a Moto G, buy the Lumia 635 instead.

The Best Budget Phone
on January 17, 2015

At first, I underestimated the phone's capability with its 512MB of ram and 8GB of storage and lack of apps. However, after 3 months, I have finally bought a 32GB microSD card and the Windows Phone Store kept getting bigger and bigger. With the essential apps, I really enjoyed the phone. However, There are always cons with pros. The phone does not have flash, front-facing camera (which is when I find the Lumia Selfie "auto selfie" mode useful.# and probably the ram. Without enough ram and bad cache-management, the phone tends to slow down or freeze, requiring me to restart the whole phone every now and then. All in all, the phone is a wonderful budget phone I would recommend it to anyone who wants a budget phone with essential apps.
Pros:
-Great 'bright' design.
-Growing marketplace.
-Growing 'Windows Phone Store'.
-Nice, flat, clean user interface #UI#.
-Essential apps are there.
Cons:
-Very little ram.
-Hangs occasionally.
-'Cortana', the virtual assistant #Like Siri# is not available internationally.
-'Google' hates Microsoft, thus no official apps by Google #Except the Google Search#.
-No official 'Youtube' app. #However, there are alternative apps such as 'myTube !' (Paid, free with limitations.# which is better.
Pros: Personal

This Nokia Lumia 645 is a wonderful phone. All around great performance and ease of use. Unlike it's sister the Lumia 520, which is also a bang for the buck, it doesnt have button issues. Even though the buttons appears to be built into the case inself as a new slick method of design, the phone is flat, not curved on the sides, making it both easier to handle and seemingly better positioned buttons and less liky to fail. The charger cable is still filmsy and cheap, and doesn't work as a 2in1 usb adapter for the computer. Lucky there is the usually memory card slot and bluetooth for file transfer but wifi tethering may be restricted by your phone provider. Never the less, if you use Windows operating system, everything is sync across the internet - even your apps, web history and passwords. It's obvious that there isn't as much apps as the other phone competitors, but the few apps in the digital store are top notch quality, and the ones not there you probably dont need or there is a substitute for that. My only downside to the store is that the newer apps, to fill the number gap, are ad leadened; there should be a wording that says which as ads beyond the regular in video ones. Thankfully, the mobile seems more secure, efficient, and with less issues than a typical budget phone. There isn't a front facing camera, the rare camera takes good photos, and the screen is nice to look at. Speaking of the screen, its delicate. The screen is prone to shatter ( i owned three of these things) which may ruin you experience if you are always on the move. But for the average Joe you won't mind at all. The screen uses tiles- style homescreen. So, it is good to select option and tiles are resizable. Another nice thing is that most have handy live updates and can go transparent with wallpapers or change colour with your theme. The themes' bright colours sometimes hurt the eyes but are quickly adaptive. The screen functions good indoors and out, and so does the call quality with a ldecent battery.
Pros: great budget phone; affordable, great sync system, easy to use, better built apps, efficient, handy.
Cons: screen is fragile, cheap single purpose charger, no front camera, low on apps.
Pros: Personal
