I have used this product off and on for a number of years and being a Diet Mountain Dew drinker do not consider this close to the real thing. It is an "okay" alternative but I do not recommend it. Taste is similar to store brand alternatives to the real thing.

Avid Diet Mountain Dew drinker, tried this hoping it would at least be close to the flavor of Diet MD but it's not even close. It smells and tastes overly chemical or something. I tried to develop a taste for it but just can't. I don't know if they tried to model the taste from regular Mountain Dew or what, because I have not drank regular soda for years, but I was really hoping for a taste similar to DIET Mountain Dew, and this is not even close!

I haven't had Mountain Dew in ages but Diet Fountain Mist is, um, a bit unique. It's not one of my regular flavors. I don't hate it, but I have to be in the mood for it.
