There are bins all over the refrigerator, especially the door, and this really helps me keep up with what I have in there. So easy to organize

We bought this for our office and love all the different compartments it has. Really like the easy grab drawer. Also the "no finger prints" surface is awesome.

Why does a refrigerator have an off switch?

We like the size efficiency and look of the fridge. A week after buying it we went on vacation. 2 days into the trip the person checking on our house tells us it isnt cold. The light turns on but.... lost what we had left in the fridge. They couldn't find the temperature gauge that had been set to off (no one has admitted to the deed yet). The switch ranges from coldest to cold and then "off" without any space in between. The switch is top left as you lower part perfect for holding on to by little hands shopping in the fridge. The person checking our house did not find it to turn it back on. A week later we got home and found it to turn it back on. It is conspicuous to little people, but out of view for adults. We never had a fridge with an off button and we don't want it.

Frigidaire - FGHI2164QF

This refrigerator has great stainless steel looks,....but.....the interior design wastes space and the plastic trays and retainers are thin and flimsy. My old refrigerator (also by Frigidaire) use heavier plastic trays and retainers and made much better use of space. The L.E.D. lights are very nice, but are not sufficient to light the interior as well as the old bulbs did. A second set of L.E.D. lights near the lower shelves would be very ideal. The stainless steel handles are beautiful and very sturdy, but the finish has been pitting lately and the vendor had to replace them with new handles. The refrigerator, otherwise, has been working well and I would recommend it.
This pitting problem also appeared on my Frigidaire dishwasher handles and they had to be replaced also.

Never again!

I bought a Frigidaire Gallery appliance set (fridge, electric range, dishwasher & microwave 5 years ago. My fridge was very similar to this model, but a special item made to sell only at Lowe's. I have never had so many problems with appliances, especially with the fridge. It LOOKS attractive with an attractive curved handle and stainless finish that doesn't show prints, but that is about the only thing I like about this product. Any Energy Star savings are negated by the doors tendency to pop open if you don't press firmly on the doors to hold them closed. If you shut the freezer, the bottom doors pops open. If you shut the bottom door, the freezer pops open. The bottom shelf on the door falls out (with all its contents) at regular intervals (and I don't even place heavy liter bottles on it). I replaced the door's original seal within months of purchase to try to solve the pop open problem, and this only made a slight difference. The new seal had a split in it at the top within a short time. Now the plastic frame around the glass that tops the fruit and veggie bins has cracked down the middle, and I am awaiting a replacement and hoping that the glass doesn't break as well before I receive the part. We are a 2-person household. We're not that hard on appliances, but you'd never know it from the performance of this Frigidaire set. I had a Kenmore fridge for over 20 years without a single problem and a GE builder-grade appliance set for more than 10 years without a problem. My Frigidaire microwave door now won't stay closed properly, and I have issues with the layout of the range as well. The only product that I have not had a problem with is the dishwasher, probably because I rarely use it. Come to think of it, it's hard to access the controls on the dishwasher when the front panel is closed. Frigidaire? Never again!

easy to configure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shelves are easy to configure to fit your needs. However they would add more storage if they were square instead of curved. Also this refrigerator makes a lot of sounds beyond just a fan you get used to it but it is a little noisy.
