Don't Buy

Purchased this mainly for the convenience of a freezer light and Frigidaire reputation. Big mistake. First off, the freezer will not get down to 0 degrees no matter how many items are in it. (Vents are not blocked, door not opened often.) Also, I had to adjust the refrigerator lower than "factory settings" because the temperature was 40 to 41 degrees without the adjustment. Door shelf flexibility in the refrigerator section is a joke. The "custom flex" bins have limited height adjustments compared to every refrigerator I have ever owned. The full width meat/snack drawer takes up too much space and blocks what little light there is from any shelves beneath it if it has anything in it. I am sorry we purchased this product and would not recommend it to anyone. Junk.

I am sorry to hear of your temperature challenge with the refrigerator, hbadger. I have some items for you to check. Start by ensuring that the doors are fully closed and nothing is preventing them from closing. Do a visual inspection of the door gasket, making sure it is fully seated in the retaining channel. Look for open areas between the gasket and the body of the cabinet. If your gasket is pulling out of the channel:
1) Clean the gasket with a wet soapy cloth, then rinse and dry.
2) Feed the gasket back into the retaining channel, ensuring the gasket is secure all around the door.
If the gasket is fully seated in the retaining channel, but still doesn’t not seal completely, use a hair dryer to carefully heat the gasket while the door is closed. Be careful not to damage the interior door panel or gasket by applying too much heat!
If gasket seal is still open after you have done these steps, flip the gasket 180 degrees:
1) Completely remove the gasket from the retaining channel around the door edge.
2) Rotate the gasket half a turn (180 degrees).
3) Reinstall the gasket by inserting the corners first into the retaining channel (kind of like a popular plastic storage bag that zips to lock).
4) Work the gasket towards the middle, ensuring that it is fully seated in the retaining channel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge for my garage and it works perfectly. Also has an alarm if you leave the door open. With 3 kids that is the best thing ever!

freezer doesn't stay cold enough

I've had 2 types of thermometers in the freezer, both record to as low as 8 degrees. usually more like 13. (ice cream is always on the soft side.) no blocked vents. Tried full or not. only 2 of us live here, so there is minimal opening. set as cold as possible

Thank you for sharing your feedback, bbeth. I recommend making sure that your freezer gasket is sealing properly to prevent warm air from entering. Also make sure that if you have your refrigerator located in your garage that’s colder than 34 degrees that it will affect the cooling performance. I hope this is helpful. Please feel free to reconnect with us directly should you have any other questions or concerns. Kindly, Courtney
