LG Tone+ HBS 730

I purchased 4 sets as Christmas gifts after great review from friend about the 700. I began using mine immediately. By the March time frame the on/off switch broke and no longer able to use the HS. You must toggle the on/off switch in order to connect. My son had not opened his, he was not interested in it so I took it over in March. The third one went into use in February and the wires have broke on that unit and no longer able to use. I don't know about the 4th HS. I love the HS because I never lose it. I can just leave it around my neck when not in use. The sound quality is great although the noise cancellation does not work well and if it is under clothing the mic is hidden and your voice can't be heard. For instance in the winter you could not use it with coat zipped up. It appears that the quality of life of this device only lasts 3 months until something breaks on it. Also, the constant vibration when you are out range from your phone is annoying. I love this HS but the short life span is not worth it.

Design and ease of use are good but

This is my first LG HBS730. I have it connected to a iPhone 5 and continue to lose connection. Notice in other reviews I have seen other issues reporting the same. Call tech line they act as if they have not heard this. Love the product hate the connectivity.

I got this headset to connect to a desktop phone and my cell phone and pairing both has been great. The headset is light the earbuds are fine and the on unit controls work fine*
the only reason I gave 4 stars insteady of 5 is for 2 reasons:
1) the buttons on the neck piece all feel the same, no concave feel or little nubs to identify each button at a touch so you need to constantly with your fingers verify exaclty what button you are about to press.
2) the Mute tone is exactly the same as unmute. On a headset where you hear actual words when you power on and pair, why cant they put a different tone (or verbal notification) when you mute or unmute. that functionality is key when your on calls...thus the 4 rating

Poor performance outdoors

I use bluetooth headsets to listen to songs and audiobooks while commuting. I also have the older version, the HBS-700, and it is awesome. The connection is stable without a single cutout. Mine was getting old so I did not hesitate: I bought two of this new model, HBS-730, a black one for me and a white one for my wife. I had great expectations, since the older model was almost perfect. But the connection of this new HBS-730 is TERRIBLE! While I'm outdoors, it cuts out all the time. I cannot turn my head without a cutout. If I walk too fast it also cuts out. If I touch it, it cuts out. At first I thought I had a defective unit. But my wife's has the exact same problem. I got back to my older model while outdoors, keeping this new one for indoor use only. I hope LG upgrades this headset and fixes this connectivity issue.

Great Sound poor quality workmanship

I owned the 700 series and now the 730.
700 had one earbud stop working and now the 730 has one earbud wires begin to fray in only 4 months of average use.
Sound is INCREDIBLE but lousy workmanship makes it a not recommended rating

I love these, and they didn't last a year...

I love this. A friend was wearing these on a group ride, and I was enthralled! I bought my first pair locally, which was good because the ear buds wouldn't stay in the head set holder. Found a pair that worked. Love them! Used them for riding and running and for work.
They have been shorting out for a while - but I thought it was my phone that had the problem. Got a new phone, still shorting out. Sat at my desk, not moving, still shorting out. Switched to a different blue tooth - no shorting out. Can actually hear - with no cutting out - the book (I listen to books). So, I love these, and they have failed. I haven't even had them 9 months. Warranty is 30 days... :-(

Microphone drops out during a call. UNACCEPTABLE!

Repeatedly, during the call, the microphone will just drop out. On the other end, but they cannot hear you. Very difficult during a business call. Unacceptable performance!

Normally I wouldn't write a negative review, but the support page isn't working so I can't try and work out my issue with LG... so, here it is...
The right ear bud has no sound. Right out of the box, first charge, no damage, paired correctly. Just doesn't work.
Hey LG, fix your support page!!!
