Design great, options great, battery life outstanding...
BUT
What good are a pair of headphones when the music is choppy even when the device you're connected to is less than two feet away!?!?!?
Also, with my android phone, the volume is sooooo loud, even at it's minimum I can't stand to have the earbuds in my ear. It's not like that on my macbook pro where I can easily adjust the volume to a comfortable level. I would say it's a problem with my android if I couldn't adjust other bluetooth devices to a comfortable level, which I can, so...
I bought these headphones for biking, well the music is so choppy that I can't stand to listen to it, they all but sit on my shelf. I will occasionally use them for a phone call.
HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

not very good range

The overall quality of the headset is very good. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't have very good range. I can have my phone in my room charging and leave out to go to living room and it is out of range. I think paying this much for a headset,it should have a lot better range. I literally have to keep it on me in order to be able to talk on it.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings

Great Concept, Poor Execution
on April 17, 2013

I have had issues since day one. And trying to get automated support is not happening. I have an issue that one earbud is 1/10th the volume of the other. If you try to find anything in the library or any other source on LG.com 0 results found. If you try to email support, you have to choose the product and its not listed.
If you do buy and get into trouble ... good luck.
While using it, the sound is chopy and cuts out frequently. The ability to control calls and music is poor as well. THis is the only time i have been able to make a call and listen to music at the same time.
Even leaving this review, the site is glitchy, I cant see what I am typing as it keeps scrolling , so I apologize for any spelling issues.

Great update to the HBS-700 but not for old device
on May 24, 2013

The HBS-730 has noticeably better sound quality than the HBS-700 which had been my favorite headset. I have two and both get a similar range to my older HBS-700 (at least 20' and through a wall). They also talk to let you you know battery level and other events like pairing, turning on/off, etc. This is odd but I do find it convenient.
These work well with my new Galaxy S4 and a Bluetooth 4.0 dongle plugged into my Win8 desktop PC but on my old Razr Maxx (non-HD, 4.1.2) they were stuck in an odd mode with only eight volume steps, all very loud. The phone's volume slider only changed those steps too.
This is a great device to go hands free with. It has monster sound quality. I have recommened it to all of my friends and family members. You can't go wrong with this headset.

Too loud to be useful
on August 6, 2013

I really wanted to like this headset, but on a Motorola RAZR phone the volume is just too high and cannot be lowered when listing to streaming music sources. With the Poweramp app and local music, it's fine, as it is with a call, but once you connect to a streaming source, volume starts are loud and goes to eardrum shattering. Apparently the 700 doesn't have this issue, nor does it happen with some other phones, so there's obviously a compatibility issue. Cannot recommend.

Best Bluetooth Stereo Earbuds Out There
on February 26, 2014

I bought a pair of these for my wife and fell in love with them myself. These are simply the best Bluetooth headphones I have ever owned. Only gripe we have is that the range is not the best. These headphones seem very sturdy. I did break the little wire holder clamp but I called customer service and they set me some out right away.

I am a electronic guru I really like the tones. I just wish the had a better speaker so it will not pickup all of the background noises around you!
