This is an excellent dryer with many features/settings to choose from. I also like that you can create custom settings & used timed dry, rather than relying solely on the built-in cycles. The only problem I've encountered is with waistbands, towel edges, and other thick fabric areas that still seem damp after drying cycles finish; I usually just add 20 more minutes & then they're dry, but clearly this detracts from the energy efficiency.

Works well with the maching top-loader washer

This dryer performs well and is extremely quiet. It has nice calm chimes for end of cycle, instead of loud alarms. All controls and selections are in easy to read and understand collumn form, the filter is a bit small but easy to remove and clean, the dryer speed is very high (mostly because the matching 4801 washer is very efficient... This dryer is a little pricey, buy overall the quality of fit and build finish, the warentee, the LG reputation, and other peoples experience owning these, all make this a good solid buy for the money.

We purchased this dryer several months ago and have been very happy with it. It dries our clothes quickly and quietly.
