I bought this ice cream maker to make sugar-free ice cream for my husband. He has taken it over. We always have ice cream now. This machine is incredible. The ice cream freezes right in the machine because it has a built-in industrial compressor, so there is no messing around with putting the mixture and bowls in and out of the freezer. The ice cream recipes are on point and the ice cream is smooth and creamy. In 40 minutes, we have fresh, soft serve ice cream. To harden it, simply put it in a container and it will harden nicely. This was one of the best appliances I have bought and I have a long history with the Cuisinart brand.

First purchase of an ice cream maker. Easy, fun to experiment, and delicious! This is a quality well built machine. Only slight drawback is I wish you could make more in one batch as the capacity is not that big, but enough to serve about 6 to 8 persons one large scoop. Easy to avoid any of the previously mentioned " overflow messes" by just following directions and do not fill past top blade on blender.

I’m addicted!!! It’s being used soooooooo much.
My only complaint is that it’s a little hard to keep the inside of the base clean when ice cream gets in the cracks.
Now I need a bigger one because I do love it too much. I easily however can do 4 batches in a row and the machine just keeps going and making ice cream. For me it was a good choice not to get the one where the bucket has to go in the freezer.

How wonderful it is to have ingredients on hand and abracadabra in less than 50 minutes wonderful natural ice cream.We purchased cup sized paper containers and are enjoying giving pots as gifts. Our favorite flavor so far is French Vanilla using 5 yolks. We love this gadget.

Ice cream makers have come a long way and this Cuisinart one we received as a wedding gift is one we recommend for anyone wishing to make delicious homemade ice cream. The recipes included with the instructional manual are easy and are creating the best I’ve cream we have had.
