Loved this gift from my family. I had the old kind where you had to freeze the canister and could only make one batch before you had to freeze the canister again for 12 hours. Now I can multiple batches of ice cream in a day. We are now regularly keeping 6 kinds in the freezer at once. We also prefer our ice creams less creamy-- so I use half-and-half for a "snow" like texture that is also fantastic.

I love the ice cream and Gelato we've created with this machine! It's so simple and tastes delicious every time. The only complaint is that the recipes barely fit and some tend to overfill the basket toward the end of freezing. Due to this, I tend to add in extra mix-ins after it's finished. We always put the ice cream into containers and straight to the freezer for a couple hours prior to eating.

Love the ability to make more than one batch at a time. This machine works beautifully making smooth and creamy ice cream/gelato with no ice crystals. Like that there are separate dashers for ice cream and gelato.
