It creates reasonably good ice cream/Gelato. Wish the 2 paddles would be slightly larger, if possible, so as to scrape the cream off the sides as it rotates, at the moment it leaves a hard layer along the sides. The compressor unit is slightly noisy.

This is a wonderful ice cream maker. I had one that you had to put the bowl in the freezer before putting in the ice cream maker. This just was very inconvenient to me and what I like about this machine is that you just put the ingredients in the bowl and turn it on. It makes it cold automatically and you don't have to pre-freeze anything. Super easy to use and you have ice cream in 45 minutes or so. I could not be happier.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this machine at the end of the summer and use it a few times a month. Love that I can make larger batches and churn without having to wait between batches to let containers freeze, as well as like the door to add goodies to the ice cream! Would definitely buy again!

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband-and we both love it! So nice to just plug it in, add the ice cream mixture and turn it on-and have delicious homemade ice cream in 40 minutes. We’ve had the kind of machines that require a frozen bowl in the past, and never found a good one. This machine is worth the cost in convenience alone.

I really enjoy my ice cream maker! I've always wanted one and this one was recommended by Ree Drummond, aka The Pioneer Woman (I really trust her!!) The process is a little long. To get an amount that will last a while you will need to make 2 batches, but, it was well worth it to my daughter and her friends! I love the fact that it's home made & I can control the ingredients. Definitely would recommend!
