LOVE THE STEAM CHOICE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THIS IS A VERY QUIET DISHWASHER AND AND IT WORKS VERY WELL. THE STEAM CLEAN OPTION IS VERY GOOD AND THE RESULTS WHEN USED THE STEMWARE AND DISHES SPARKLE. I FOUND THAT WHEN I USED POWDER SOAP A RESIDUE WAS LEFT. SWITCHED TO PERFORMANCE PACS AND IT WAS ELIMINATED.

Quiet Beauty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the entire Cafe line for our kitchen. First off the clean professional look is perfect for our taste. The controls and functions are fairly basic with less options than we are used to, but I think GE understands what the needs really are and have simplified the choices.
We were really hoping for a truly quiet dishwasher. In the past we have paid for "quiet packs" and believed claims that they were quiet until we got it installed and were disappointed. On our first load we actually had to turn the TV down just to verify it was actually working! Finally a truly quiet dishwasher! Awesome!
Inside, the dish racks are simple but effective. No frills or fancy "gizmos" to attract you. Its a keep it simple cleaning solution that works and that is all that matters to us! We stayed with the brand we trusted and what did we get? Clean dishes in a beautiful and quiet appliance!
I would recommend this to a friend!

You will never hear this dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this dishwasher! It looks great, and it is silent! I would have given it excellent ratings all the way down, but when it comes to the performance it cleans great...but the heated dry is kind of a joke. When I choose the heated dry option, my dishes still come out with small puddles of water in the tops of glasses and bowls.
Other than the heated dry option being pretty weak, this dishwasher is awesome!!

Serviceable dishwasher

After a bad experience with the GE Smart Dispense with our last dishwasher (be careful to always, always, always use the same detergent), we decided to never have that feature again. This dishwasher does exactly what it should do and washes dishes. The looks blend perfectly to the other Cafe appliances we have. Only complaint is that you cannot double stack plates on the bottom rack (front to back) for it is not big enough to have 2 deep without them touching.

Great performance, great look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher was easy to install, it is super quiet, and it cleans beautifully! I love the look and now we can hang our towel on the handle. The heat dry system is essential...(friends bought one without and are unhappy). I was worried about the stainless interior looking spotty, but it comes out looking great every time. The covers in the silverware bin keep small items in and the stemware holders keep wine and martini glasses in place. I really like the varied depths of the top rack because there is a place for everything. We are extremely pleased with this purchase!

Do not Buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A very poor product, do not put any plastic items in it, after the wash cycle is done your utensils will have a chalk like film that will destroy your items. I called GE and the technician who came blamed the happening on the Dishwasher detergent, although we used the on specified by GE. As for the dishes they do not come out completely clean, and this machine does not fully dry glassware and mugs. Very dissatisfied with it. If We had not bought matching Refrigerator, Microwave and Range we would have returned it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first dishwasher I've ever owned, so I might be easy to impress, but I am loving this dishwasher. We recently remodeled our kitchen with all new GE appliances. We got Cafe for everything except the range, where we splurged and got the Monogram. The Cafe styling looks very close to the Monogram styling, but without the price tag that goes with the Monogram line. In any event... I LOVE the dishwasher. It is so quiet, and gets the dishes remarkably clean.

Does a very poor job of cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishes, glasses, utensils just don't get clean. this is hte first dish washer that we've had to baby in order to get somewaht clean dishes. Because we have hard water, we follow all the recommendations in the manual - use Cascade Complete, make sure water is hot before turning on the dish washer, do not over pack, use rinse agent, etc. etc. The only other thing that helps is to put extra detergent at the bottom of the dishwasher for a pre-wash. Very frustrating, especially given it's high price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
