This TV is awesome when I first got it I wasn't to sure.. I played with the settings to my liking . Sure Netflix wasn't working yet but I knew it was in a update soon .. There is a issue with sound from optical out only in stereo, but then I know Sony will fix it with a update. 4K looks just awesome up converting is like 1080p.. Just give Sony time to
Work out some bugs. There were other TV manufactures that went through the same thing.. This is a great tv for the price ...

Beautiful Picture

Have had this TV for a couple of weeks. The 'TV' part is great - nice picture, easy to use, etc. The 'internet' part has been more problematic. The Netflix connection is finally available (was delayed), but it can't get past the 99% buffering for some shows like a half-hour comedy show. I pulled it up on my iPad and tried to get it to work that way, but not successful. Getting around the internet parts isn't intuitive either.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great TV

Overall, this is a great TV and replaces our previous Sony DLP. Color is crisp and bright. One issue is, although the sound quality is good, the volume is low. This can be remedied with a sound bar. But I was disappointed that, after spending this amount of money on a TV, an additional purchase was required. Also, we didn't intend to wall mount this TV and the selection of a sound bar was limited due to the fact that the TV remote control sensor is located at the bottom of the TV. We ended up purchasing a sound board that sits under the TV stand.

3d glasses are a pain!!!!!!11

Love the picture... what else can I say "It's a Sony"!!! The 3d glasses work sometime and not others... don't know what is going on with them. I am a Sony person from way back; however, and not happy that I bought a 3d tv and had to purchase the glasses to see things in 3d! Like I said. the 3d glasses (Sony) work only part of the time! I understand that Sony is coming out with new glasses and I think I know why....these don't work!

Terrible Upscaling

Not sure if there is something wrong with my particular unit, but all I see on the TV is pixelated, unclear video - worse than 1080p TVs. No matter what the video source - BluRay, Netflix, Cable -- the picture quality is terrible. I've contacted Sony support but they are just sitting on the case number not doing anything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sony 55” class 4K Ultra HD TV

I don't usually possess the most recent electronic wonders--in fact, I purchased this 4K television to replace my 10-yr-old Sony CRT. But this time I went for broke, and--WOW!--what an incredible sight to see! I am in awe of this marvel. Everything about it--sight, sound, and other features--is a dream. Every night is showtime! I gladly recommend this 4k television.

Great picture, but don't look to stream ANYTHING

I've purchased Sony products for the last 30 years and this is by far the worst product I've ever seen them release. The first television stopped working (TV speakers failed) after 2 days and I had to return it to the store. The Android OS is not working correctly, so you don't have access to Ultraflix, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Other online content that appeared in the XBR55X850B model are not on this TV, so features like MLB are nonexistent.
Save your money and lots of frustration by choosing a different product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm now on my 3rd straight Sony TV. This one is amazing and can't wait for the Entertainment Industry to fully implement 4K Technologies! This 4K TV certainly is an upgrade, but once all transmittance is 4K, then it shall only get better! In the market for a new TV, then I certainly recommend this unit! AGAIN-GREAT PICTURE & COLOR
