Reliable but major issue with oven use

This stove is pretty good but has a major issue. When the oven is on, the fan blows the heat onto the range so if you put a fork or anything else metallic on the flat part of the stove, you can burn yourself. Also, I have to point my pot and pan handles away from the center because of the fan. I have burned myself many times by reaching for a pot handle while cooking. This is a major design flaw that did not exist in the old version of this stove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
