Dials turn without pressure

This oven's stove top is a serious heath danger. Several times over the past 3 years, if the front dial for the element is contacted, the dial will turn and gas is turned on - minimally so undetected until the amount is overwhelming - getting headaches and feeling naucious. This is a potential danger. Oven should be recalled.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is a nice stove that heats quickly. I don't have to worry about the temperature being correct and the the gas burners are great. No problems. Good quality for the price!

Everything I wanted - and more !

I bought this about 2 months ago and so far Its been GREAT ! I wanted a basic gas range without a bunch of bells and whistles that I would never use, and this one fits the bill. The only complaint that I have is - the broiler pan has sharp edges and in my opinion could have been made better (hence the 4 stars), but this is pretty minor considering the quality of the appliance overall. The GE brand has a more solid - quality feel to it than most other brands I checked out before deciding on this one, plus- the price was right. I would buy this one again in a heartbeat !

This was actually a gift from my parents. I love the heavy grates on the cooktop. So far this has been easy to clean. I love that the burners don't automatically turn on when you turn the knob, makes it great if you have little ones that like to play with things. It did take my husband and myself to get used to the oven settings, we would forget that you had to hit start when you wanted to preheat the oven so the first few times the oven would shut off.

Nice, basic oven which is what I was looking for. Not a lot of bells & whistles which again is exactly what I was looking for. Boils fast on the stove top. Oven is right on temperature! Very happy with my purchase!
