I am still not sure why you would put a signal for pre-heat if you must use extra ten minutes to get the oven to the temperature required for your recipe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this three weeks ago, and so far have been very happy with it's performance.
The variety of burners is nice (even though I thought I wouldn't like this feature) and the oven appears to be accurate and bakes evenly.
I wish there was a way to turn off the beep that signals the preheat is over, but this is a personal preference, and in no way affects my happiness with the range.

Had my first GE gas range for 20+yrs. WOW, That said it all. So I went and got me a new gas range. Quality and value is everything.
