Should say hybrid tub, not stainless steel tub

The tub is only 3/4 stainless steel, the bottom is plastic. It says so if you closely look at the detailed specs, but the product description is deceiving as it just mentions "stainless steel tub".

I am so disappointed with Bosch products. I will never buy another Bosch appliance. Our heat pump on the Bosch ascenta is gone after only 2 years and the cost to fix is close to $800 incl. labour. Warranty was only good for one year.

1. The moisture which is lasting on the walls and front door after the cycle is finished. 2. There is no button to open or close the front door. The door is opening by force and I think with time the lock will be used up. 3. Sometimes there is a bad lasting smell after the cycle is done, even with a most efficient dishwasher tabs. Especially during the auto wash program. 4. There is no possibility to stop the program chosen, if it is already started. You can passe it, but can't change to another one. 5. It is silent, which is positive.

Do not buy this dishwasher. It constantly gets the E24 error code. I’ve had this dishwasher for 3 years and now it needs a circulation pump. Heap of junk Bosch are known for this problem. I should have read reviews before purchase. Garbage stay away

Quiet, dries well, small racks

I was worried about Condensation Drying because many people noted they don't do a good job of drying compared to conventional heat element drying. I've done 2 washes now and I would say it dries as well as my previous LG heat element drying. The only difference I noticed is, the inside metal walls of this washer is always wet after the wash/dry but the dishes are mostly dry, I would day 95% dry. The only wet ones are at the bottom of the mugs I find a bit of water like the other washer. The door closes very tightly because of the strong spring. so I wedge something at the door so I can air dry the empty dishwasher after. This unit comes with a 3 prong cord to plug into an outlet. My house has a 3 wire cord but no outlet under the sink other than the garburator outlet which I can't share for dishwasher as it turns on the garburator when it is on. Not a big deal I just made a plug of out the cord. If you want the hard wired panel you have to order it separately but no reason to do that. Much easider to make a plug outlet. The racks are smaller: the bottom rack is designed mostly for dishes not cups. The cups go in the uppper rack. So I would say it holds a lot of dishes but not as many cups compared to my previous unit. All the tines are angled which actually do a better job of holding the dishes vertical or an a proper angle for washing. Some tines are very tightly spaced but no worries you just have to skip every other one depending on what kind of dishes you have. The supper knives rack is not foldable so you can only fit small items under them. I've just used automatic setting which takes 2 hrs 20 mins.

This is by far the worst dishwasher ever!!! Has never worked right!! Bottom rack has never worked without a fight. I clean it and it still stinks. Thought I was buying a decent machine. So disappointed

Good so far, early days yet

Major appliances have such a short life span these days, our Kenmore dishwasher lasted only about 7 years. Bosch is a good name, the reviews were positive, and this unit was on sale for $400 off, so we pulled the trigger. It was not difficult to install. It will take some time to get used to the layout of the racks, it seems like we have a bit less space than before. The big conceptual difference is the method of drying, it uses some kind of air flow rather than a heating element. The first load came out wet, I had forgotten to fill the rinse aid. I also needed to alter a factory setting on one configuration, and now make sure that the Sanitize button is pushed for each load. Another interesting concept is that they do not want you to pre-rinse items. Just scrape them and let the machine’s sensors detect how much work beeds to be done. Except for one instance, everything has come out sparkling. Best Buy was great, as usual. Good website, quick delivery, and thankfully great sales from time to time.
I gave 4 stars, better to be pleasantly surprised by a great machine for a long time, than inviting badkarma by over-rating the machine in these early days and being disappointed.
