I purchased this dishwasher as it was highly recommended by Consumer Reports. It cleans well and is very quiet which are definite strengths. My rating reflects the dishwasher racks which I find not helpful for today's dishes and glasses which tend to be large and thick. The dishwasher will load better with thin dishes. We also wanted functionality with being able to lower tines on the bottom rack, but that is not possible as the tines are fixed. The upper rack does have a row of tines that move, so there is more funcationality on the top rack.

Loving our Bosch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My my it is quiet, and, since we have been hand washing our dishes for years, just once through the Bosch and they are cleaner than they have ever been. Been fidgeting with the drying aspect of the appliance, but now we have that down! Great dishwasher.

Works Well - Too Many Plate Slots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've now had our d/w for about 2 months. This is our 3rd d/w in this home since 2005; then orig. was old when we moved in.
Overall, I'd say this d/w does as good a job as our 2 prior; however, the racks don't hold as much as either of our old KitchenAids. The racks are designed with too much focus on plates - large or small. We need more space for bowls and glasses. I'm not a huge fan of the concealed controls. Would get exposed controls if I'd had the foreknowledge of having no idea where the cycle stands w/out opening the door. There are 2 major plusses to this Bosch. 1) The filter is much better than our prior units. Our KA had wide openings to filter debris, but the filter compartment was very difficult to access. This unit has an easily removable access panel to get to the strainers. 2) The concealed heating elements for drying are a huge plus since we can put less sturdy, plastic items on the bottom, now, without fear of them melting. We not can put plastic cutting sheets, cups, and other thin-plastic items down there w/out them melting. Overall - a 4-rating, due to the excessive focus on plate holders and little room for bowls, larger cookware, and glasses or cups.
