The dishwasher meets expectations with the exception of loading the dishwasher. The configuration of the upper and lower shelves makes it very difficult to impossible to load the dishes efficiently. I am hand washing more dishes than I ever had to do with other dishwashers I have had. The silverware /utensil bin is so small that I am hand washing them as well. ( There are only 2 of us and I wash the dishes every day) I have to find places for the spatulas and longer spoons because they can't stand up in the utensil bin without hitting the rotating arm. Most evenings I am on my knees rotating the arm manually to see if it hits any of the taller utensils on the lower shelf. The arm unusually does hit something so I am constantly rearranging items. I bought this make and model because Consumer Reports rated it so highly. I still have the manual near the dishwasher for reference and I have watched the videos for proper loading, but the struggles continue. Very poorly designed.

Efficient and quiet

We replaced an older model with the Ascenta I like that the inside is deeper and fits taller items than the older model.

Best Dishwasher I've Ever Had

Horrible racks

We had ia previous model of identical dishwasher. There is a HUGE difference in quality. We matched the model because a) we were happy with earlier model and b) we wanted to make sure it fit into same space. The racks are HORTIBLE. Impossible to load and when you slide bottom rack in it has nothing to keep it from sliding off to the side. Omg. Im almost 80 and have loaded more dishwashers than i can count. Never seen anything like this. I swear every time ihave to load it. Btw we feel our previous dw died too early. In a 2nd home and used 3-4 months/year. Definitely dont recommend Bosch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed with capacity and how it loads. Manual shows only dinner plates and glasses. We also use small bowls and mugs. Space is limited by closeness of tines in racks.

Bud & Barb's Bosch Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like our Bosch dishwasher and believe we made a good decision with going with your brand. The dishwasher is quiet, does a great job of clean the dishes, pots, pans, etc.. Only drawback is the prongs on the lower rack are a little too close together, making it tough for bowls. Great for dishes, but bowl don't fit all that well. Also the trap door for the detergent that slides, sometimes does not readily catch. Care must be taken to make sure that the slide door for the detergent clicks into place securely. Perhaps a flip type design would be better. Other than that, we have had dishwashers in the past, but not in this house for nearly 25 year. It's nice to have a dishwasher again and hope this one will last a long time with no issues. Giving out dishwasher 4 stars ****. Would give it 4 1/2, but that was not a choice. I saw some of the Bosch Dishwashers with the cool red light that projects onto the floor. Unfortunately the dishwasher we selected did not have that feature.
