My problem with this dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using dishwashers for over 50 years and this is the first one that I have to rinse the dishes before loading them. There is no garbage dispsoal and the filter does not trap the food. With rinsing the dishes first they come out fine, but am unhappy with the extra work. It is quiet and so far very dependable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works really well. Super Quiet. Like the light that shines on the floor to let you know it is running. Very pleased and it cleans dishes too!!!

Great features

We redid our kitchen in 2015 ,and we never had a dishwasher so when it was time to buy one I looked no further then Bosch (I read consumer reports all the time )because of there reliability. The machine is so quiet I don't know it's on half the time .My oven was not new and I am waiting for it to go because I was looking at Bosch ovens and that's my next purchase.

Quiet, cleans well

Cleans well. Like that it has a light for the refill of the Rinse Agent. It runs quiet, so I wish it had an external indicator to know when the cycle has ended.

Good So Far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to work fine so far. Bottom rack is difficult to use for large pats and pans. Some of the openings for the knifes in the silverware rack are small.

Great cleaning & quiet

I read many reviews after using a friend's Bosch dishwasher for several years. Some whine about this or that, in the end I chose this Ascenta dishwasher based on CR ratings and my own user experience.
I have owned it for a month now, probably have run 8 cycles. It is quieter than expected, never obtrusive and is only 10 ft from my Living room. I am amazed at how well it dries dishes considering that there is no heater element for this purpose. Instead it heats rinse water and after rinsing and draining, the residual heat in the load does the drying. It is very energy efficient as a result. The caveat is that a rinse aid is essential to get great drying results.
When you consider the above and Bosch #1 rating for reliability, this affordable machine is a no brainier choice.

Good value & good performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new, approximately 1 month old, dishwasher has done an excellent job in getting our dishes clean. It is also much quieter than our previous machine. Due to its energy saving attributes, it does have a long cleaning cycle that does take some getting used to. One minor complaint is that, short of opening the door, the only way of knowing that the cleaning cycle is complete is a series of beeps. Some people have complained about the loudness of the beeps. Even with the beeps set at their highest level, we find the beeps to be too low. Some Bosch dishwasher models have a red light that shines on the floor while the cycle is in process. This model does not.
Some people have also complained that their dishes do not come out dry at the end of the cleaning cycle. We have not have that problem. Thus far, we have just used the auto setting and every time the dishes have come out dry.
I would recommend this to a friend!
