Some problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like a lot of things about my new Bosch Dishwasher BUT I am haveing great difficulity to input settings and getting it to start with that setting. If it changes then I can't get it to stay on that change it always go back to auto. Several times I thought I had it set and it does not start it just sits there. It is getting the dishes very clean and I especially like how quiet it is.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model is highly rated by a well known consumer testing organization. It lived up to the excellent ratings. It is so quiet that one does not know it is running. Dishes/Tablewear come out spotless. This is the first "higher end" dishwasher" I have owned and it is well worth the extra cost. No fault of the product, but do pay attention to clearance needed from adjacent corner cabinet doors/drawers due to the dishwasher external handle. If thi is an issue choose a model w/o external protruding handle. I would certainly buy this dishwasher again.

Love this quiet Dishwasher

1. When the installer came he took out our previous Kenmore dishwasher and then promptly told us we needed to get a plumber because we needed a different adapter to our sink.....So he just left the new machine in the garage.
2. Luckily, our plumber was able to come THAT DAY and was able to correct the water adaptor and install the dishwasher BUT he told us we needed to get an electrician because the Bosch dishwasher could not be "hard wired" like the Kenmore was. It has a plug and we had NO outlet under the sink. Several days passed before the Electrician could come and easily install an outlet.
Now, as for the dishwasher itself, we LOVE it. We're still getting used to the best way to load it and to the various wash cycles etc but it has worked well. I'd like a little better drying cycle since water usually pools on top of glasses.
The Biggest problem is that this diswasher is SO quiet, we often can't tell if the cycle is running or not. I guess our dishwasher does NOT have a light projected on the floor but that would be very helpful.
Nonetheless, we are very pleased with the quality of this diswasher and especially with how quiet it is to operate

Non-functional out of the box

The product did not function when installed. A repairman replaced the operating panel as the Start button was apparently the problem. The product then functioned normally. Assuming Bosch covers the repair under warranty, I'm happy with the dishwasher. It cleans well and is quiet. I'm disappointed that the leak container that was present on my previous Bosch is missing on this model. That was a feature that sold me on Bosch originally.

Very dissatisfied with this product

The racks are flimsy and poorly designed. Most of my cups and bowls do not fit anywhere. The bottom rack "falls down" the open door crack anytime you try to slide the bottom rack out. Dishwasher is much smaller than previous one. Should it not be exactly the same? As it has to go into the same kitchen space. I am very sorry I bought this appliance and do not recommend it to anyone. It is difficult to reset beep and adding the rinse aid. I hate this dishwasher!!!! And am so disappointed. I thought I was buying a premium brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pleased with overall performance but...

We're pleased with the overall performance of our Bosch dishwasher but the silverware baskets were poorly designed. They have a clumsy fit to the rim of the dish rack because the rim is curved at both ends and the basket hooks come in contact with the rim at the two points where the rim is curved. Basically, the hooks can't rest on the rim and so the baskets are constantly falling off the rail. Can't believe Bosch didn't see this design flaw and correct it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the handbook was misleading
