Quiet

Dishwasher is very quiet (high priority for us) and items thoroughly cleaned. Overall, we are very satisfied. On the downside, items washed don't dry as part of the wash cycle and only dry after door is opened.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not Happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I ordered this dishwasher I hadn't been in the store recently to look at the arrangement of the dish racks inside assuming their layout would be like that of American manufacturers. Was very puzzled about the logic of the arrangement & had to conclude it was a European thing. The loading instructions & how to operate it were spartan & not clear. Couldn't find an instructional video. Showed it to a friend who also thought it was awkward to load especially the section with the narrow tines. Don't think I would buy this again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It does a GREAT job, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how it cleans, how quiet it is and the length of the cycle(s). But, the tines are too close together. W ehave hand made dishes, which are thicker than normal, so it is often difficult to fit all the dishes in the machine. I often have to leave a space between tines so the dishes don't touch each other.

Disappointed

In July I purchased the dishwasher which is the SHX3AR74UC model. I I can't find it to review but I assume this is probably the same one. From the other reviews it seems so. I also had problems with it after a month. There was a foul smell at the end of the cycle. There is no way of knowing how long the dishwasher will run because this model does not have any time gauge on it. I thought it would have that light on the bottom so you would know when the dishwasher was done. There was also water left in th machine so even though I ran it before I went to bed the water was still there in the AM when I opened the machine. I had 2 service people come today & they told me that I need to run it earlier and listen for the beep at the end of the cycle & then open the door to let the steam out. I'll try it but that seems like a nuisance especially if you are not around right after the cycle. And since there is no way of knowing when that will be that is another problem. The service people reset the system to the maximum dry setting, we hope. They had a lot of trouble understanding the Bosch instructions so you can imagine how hard it would be for me if I decided to change a setting. As far as quiet, it's not great. In some ways it's good that I hear some noise because as I said there's no way of knowing if the machine is on. When I ordered this machine online I thought I was getting the basic features, but I guess not. Though I was told this is the bottom of the line of Bosch dishwashers the price certainly wasn't so I'm surprised and disappointed at some of their features or actually lack thereof.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
