Quiet and has Superior Cleaning Power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally got rid of my 30+ year old dishwasher at the advice of my son-in-law who is a plumber, as he had seen where pumps go out and it is too late when the owner finds out. It cleaned so well and I've been told the new models don't. Bosch has proven to be that a new model can actually do an amazing job of cleaning and drying all while very quiet. Love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Washer if I lived in Europe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer is quite and very nice, but OMG the configuration of the top and bottom washer tray is a disaster. I cannot fit half the amount of dishes in it as my last Kenmore and, if you try, the plates come out with food still on them. Honestly, I wish to god I would have never bought this thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Took a while to get to know it, but now I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher does a fantastic job. At first I couldn't tell if I had turned it on or not - it is quiet, and it has a feature where you have to shut within 4 seconds. I wasn't sure if I had taken to long to close it because I couldn't hear it going. My husband opened it to see, and he was a little peeved because it was indeed going. Maybe it should have a lock when it is operating? Or a light that is visible on the front?

Inlet valve failure

The inlet valve on my dishwasher completely failed after 7 years of once-a-day usage. I realized that there was a problem when the machine made odd noises, did not clean the dishes, did not heat up, did not dry the dishes, and did not dissolve the detergent tablet. The clincher was that it permitted only a small amount of water to enter the tub. I wish that I had realized years before, when the dishes began to come out dirty, that a new inlet valve was needed. The valve’s failure had surely been gradually developing. Upon a dissection of the old valve, I observed that the conical black rubber washer that opens and closes to control the fill water was hardened and distorted. My water is from a river-sourced municipal supply and I do not know it to be particularly chemically active. I believe that an inlet valve should last longer as they did in my non-Bosch dishwashers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The food screen capture is easy to remove and clean. Just lots of good thought went into making it a top buy appliance. I see why CR has it listed as the top-rated.
