Excellent Dishwasher - Very Bossy
on October 5, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher does a great job of washing dishes. Absolutely zero complaints on that front. Head and shoulders above the KitchenAid in our old apartment, with a quarter the noise. It's easy to use, the controls are very intuitive. Feels solidly constructed, and I love the stainless interior. It also looks really nice in the kitchen.
The only functional dowside is the racking system. The little posts are too close together. I've never needed to put close to as many plates in as the number of slots will accommodate, but pots, pans, cookie sheets, mixing bowls, other oddly sized items, sit awkwardly because they won't fit between the posts. Also, it's super bossy. It beeps incessantly when it's finished, and won't shut up until you either empty it or go turn it off. There seems to be no way to turn off the beeps. In summary, cleans perfectly, racks are a little weird, but you can just put stuff on top of them and it still gets perfectly clean, and if you want to know with 100 percent certainty that your dishes are ready for you to empty them NOW! I MEAN NOW!!! this is the perfect dishwasher for you.

Very good machine that suits our needs

This Bosch replaced a 6-month old GE machine. The GE machine was probably the cheapest model which had a sprayer rising from the middle of the dishwasher. This GE was a nightmare - Yes, it cleaned well, but the rise-up middle sprayer and the configuration of racks made it a pain to use in a 5-people household. After 6 months, it developed cracks and leaked.
So this time I decided to try out Bosch. I did not pick this particular model... I grabbed what's available during the pandemic. As with everything else in this world, this machine is good, but it's not for everyone. A dishwasher performance is also affected by a user's preference, e.g. type of dishes they have (plastics are harder to dry), habit of keeping the dishwasher door ajar (to air out both dishes and machine), type of water and detergent, etc. For the record, I have mostly Corningware, and I don't mind leaving the door open after a wash cycle. My current location has soft city water and I soaked all my dishes (I know I shouldn't) before they go into the machine.
Under the above conditions, Bosch cleans well and dries well. I do expect some air drying after a cycle because I put kitchen towels in as well (which might have compromised its drying capability). No mold no smell so far. Also, the machine is quiet. The top panel design might deter some people (because they can't see the buttons once the door is closed), go and read tips below.
Several tips if you own this machine: 1) If you soak dishes ahead (i.e. no stuck on foods), you can save time/water by using the Express (40 mins) or Half Load (1 hour 40 mins) mode vs Normal mode (2 hours) 2) To pause a cycle, just open the machine door any time during a wash cycle. The "Active" button should be blinking. Once you are ready to resume operation, hit the "Start" button (the "Active" button should become solid now) and then close the door. If you want to stop this cycle, open the door and press the "Start" button until the "Active" button goes off. Basically you can control everything clearly by opening the door to use the top panel 3) You can adjust the loudness of end-of-cycle beeps (just follow instructions from the manual). The beeps will stop after a certain time. It does not go on and on and on 4) This Bosch comes with a plug. My GE was hardwired. So I got a contractor to install an electric outlet. If you prefer hard-wiring, you need to buy a junction box to connect this Bosch 5) I have no problem in putting a 12-qt (or 6-qt) soup pot, a 3-qt sauce pan, plus utensils from lunch and dinner (for a 5-adults household) into this machine 6) I love the two utensil trays (which can be conjoined or separated). I can leave one out to save space. Furthermore, they are awesome for chopsticks! One or two chopsticks *might* fall through the cracks but most of the time they don’t. This is a life saver for me!
One wish though: I wish this machine has the ability to raise the upper rack one more notch. Right now it's not easy to accommodate my 13.5-inch pan cover.
Conclusion: This entry-level Bosch hands down is much better than my previous GE.

Bosch Replacing Bosch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Bosch dishwasher, and I had long, dependable service from the first. Great new features: Ability to put place settings (knives, forks, spoons) in slots sy separate and drywell. Also saves space. Moveable racks are useful for outsized or odd sized dishes. VERY quiet and relatively speedy.

Quiet, Smooth and Proficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is everything the Consumer Reports review said it would be. It is extremely quiet and the little indicator light is really necessary to be able to determine that it is running. The three racks accommodate a prodigous amount of dishes, tableware and cookware. The top rack for silverware is ingenious and holds all the items slightly separated so each is thoroughly cleaned. The touch controls are super easy to use. The dishes all come out spotless.

Love our new dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our new Bosch dishwasher for a little over a month now and love it! We particularly like the top 3rd rack for silverwear and smaller dishes. Our most favorite feature is how quiet the dishwahser is. We have to put our ear right up to it to make sure that it's running. However, another great feature is the floor light that shines on your floor to let you know that it's running. So far we've had no complaints!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall - love this product. I had a Bosch dishwasher for 10 years and gave it to my sister as we did a kitchen remodel and I wanted all stainless steel instead of white. Super quiet and gets everything clean. Love the top silverware drawer!!
