Great dishwasher

A Decent Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a Bosch Ascenta to replace a 15ish year old GE. I'd really liked my GE, but knew it was time to get a new machine since it was having issues and the Ascenta was highly rated and got good reviews. All in all, I like the Ascenta. What I'm not entirely sold on is how it really does need a rinse aid to prevent the dishes from being soaking wet by the time you want to put them away. I get why the Ascenta doesn't have heated dry options like my old GE did, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't at least a little annoying to have to towel dry almost everything after a wash (and that's after letting the washed dishes sit overnight).

Great dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this unit for a couple months now. I've been impressed at the cleaning. Put dishes in with food scraped off and they consistently come out clean. The installation had one issue. The screws they provide for securing the unit to the countertop are inadequate. The screws were way to short. The screws fell out after about 2 weeks, so i replaced them with 1 inch screws and no issues since. I have a family of three with six meal periods (1 eats breakfast, 3 eat lunch, 2 eat dinner) and it's full by the end of the day. Dishes are mostly dry when the cycle is complete. With plastic being the main source of water retention. The default notification beeping when the cycle is complete is excessive, but can be turned off or lowered. Glad i purchased this.

Only one thing lacking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine certainly cleans better than my old one, though capacity seems slightly less. That might be due to the extreme angle of the tines compared to my old G.E. This is much quieter than any washer I've had. But the one feature I miss is not being able to turn off the power dry cycle.

Quiet, Good Clean

We've had it for nearly 6 weeks now, and we use it at least once a day (2 adults, 3 young children). It has been quiet and reliable. We load it to the brim, and the dishes are always clean and dry.
