Best phone so far.

This is the 7th Windows phone I have owned, everything from the HD7 to Lumia 1020 this is the best of everything that isn't too much. Battery life is incredible and the camera is great.

This is easily the best phone I have ever owned. Ive had 3 IPhones, 2 Samsung Notes (1 and 2) and then got this! I am not sure where to start.... Lets start with Windows Mobile 8. It is awesome. I abandoned Windows after Vista, came back with 7, and eagerly updated to Windows 8. Windows 8 and now 8.1, is the best OS I have ever used. There are many who don't agree, but I am convinced that its just because they are so used to legacy windows platforms and just didn't want to learn a new OS (not that it takes any learning really...# But this is not about Windows 8, its about this phone.. And the reason why I love Windows 8 and Windows Mobile is that my computing experience is now perfectly synchronized across all devices no matter where I am at. My UX is synced, apps #mostly synced# and best of all is the live account that syncs email and documents. All the dox I most recently worked on at work are instantly and immediately available on all devices via one drive. Click on One Drive>recent docs and voila, they are all there..
Its friggin awesome!
The device itself is gorgeous...its so much fun to see IPhone user envy...
The camera is amazing...
The only snafu...many apps are not available in Windows store. But the ones I use most are, including Spotify, Pandora, my banks, Huff post z#which admittedly blows in Windows), etc.
This is a GREAT phone

My second Nokia

So two years ago we got new phones. I was (and still am) tired of the Apple interface so on a gamble I chose the Nokia 920. Loved everything about it. Great camera, Word, PowerPoint, and so easy to use! Tiles were great but they are so much better now with 8.1 and clear tiles. Anyway, last week we got new phones. 1 iPhone 6, 2 galaxy 5 and this fantastic Nokia 1520. When it came in the mail and saw how big it was, I almost sent it back, but one reviewer said to try it for 3 days and he was right. I have never liked any piece of tech like I like my Nokia's and this 1520 rocks! Beautiful screen, texting is by far the best prompting I have ever used. It's like it knows what I'm going to say LOL. My kids never use Siri but I love Cortana. As for Apps, I can't understand what all the noise is about. I've found every App I could want. The Nokia Apps are tops including the driving Apps. Which brings me to my only complaint. I had hoped Cortana would have a different voice than the driving turn by turn. But hey, MS needs something to do, right? Thanks Microsoft for such a great device! (sent from my Nokia 1520)

The design and display are incredible, a very solid phone. Built-in pedometer is a nice touch. The 1520 does everything you expect from a phone with the added convenience of a large screen.

I've gone from using BlackBerry for 10 years to Android for 8 years. I decided to make the jump to Windows. I was pretty nervous. I was so used to Android and the apps that making the switch wasn't easy. Needless to say I absolutely love this phone. The battery is amazing. Camera is superb! Its fast and smooth. The best part is the updates. Microsoft continuously updates software! No more waiting for 15-18 months for updates like Android. I also love the fact that the screen is so vibrant and bright. I can easily see it in direct sunlight.. The screen is glass so I highly recommend a case. I broke my first one by dropping it while falling down some stairs. The screen shattered. I got a new one right away with a case and no problems now. So as everyone says it doesn't have all the apps like Android but I found an app for everything I need. Most are 3rd party apps but work great. I love my 1520 so much, I went out and purchased a Surface Pro PC. They sync together nicely! Thank you Windows for restoring my faith in you again..

When I first saw this phone I was drawn to it. I loved the size of it. I really like being able to hold a phone in my hands and actually know that I am holding something. Because of the size it is difficult to text or move around just using one hand. This is ok because it takes away the temptation of texting while driving, since I need both hands to hold it. It is a little awkward when making a call because the ear piece has to be positioned just right in order to hear someone clearly but since I use a Bluetooth headset this is not a big deal. One of the first things I noticed about this phone was the battery life. I had gotten used to smartphones that needed to be charged all the time but this battery will last all day even if I am watching videos or playing music. It is wonderful!!!
When I first bought the phone it had Windows 8 OS and I did not like that one too well. I like my music and making a playlist with Windows 8 was not that east for me but with the upgrade to 8.1 making a playlist is super easy. I do not use Cortana that much but it is nice when I do. I like being able to resize some of the app icons.
The one thing that has bugged me ever since I purchased a Windows phone is that the apps are different on the phone than they are for my desktop which also runs Windows 8.1. Maybe in the future they will be the same on both platforms but for now I will adjust.
All in all I am very happy with this phone and I would not hesitate to purchase another one.
