Makes life simpler

It is the smartphone I've always dreamed of. High resolution full HD screen, high quality 20mpx camera, 32GB internal memory, NFC enabled, Wireless charging enabled, good sound quality for voice calls, great for watching movies, tv shows & gaming, and to top it all off, the continuing and ongoing technical and updating support of Microsoft. I mean seriously, what more could you possibly want?? It is a shame that this phone is not in production anymore and has become very difficult to find and purchase (unless it's second hand). I love it...definitely recommend it.

Sleek phone that you will definitely need a case for.

Starting off with the phone i had. I come from an iPhone 4 and 5.
screen:5/5 looks amazing and huge. It can be use with gloves that are not too thick. I was able to use it with my cycling shell gloves, but not with my ski gloves that are super thick. It looks much sharper than the iPhones screen comparing the sharpness of it.
apps:4/5 There are a lot of apps. but for those of you that come from another OS that has apps like snap chat, theres is no snap chat on windows still. other than that it seems to have all the apps i need. AND MOST OF THEM ARE FREE or they will let you try it out first before you buy, that a lone is a big plus.
Design: 4/5 The phone has a sleek design. very slippery though so you will definitely need a case for it. There is a big problem how is the main camera mounted though. since the main camera in the back of the phone protrudes out every time you set your phone down you set it down on the camera, which already caused a scratch on the glass element while waiting for my case to arrive. In my opinion they should of make the bezel around the camera protrude more and the glass element a little bit inward so it won't be even with the back shell. BE CAREFULL
Speaker: 5/5 comparing it to iPhone 4 and 5. Stop, there is no comparison. The lumia is at least twice as loud if not a little bit louder than the iPhone. plus the lumia you can here the vocals much better than the iPhone. the iPhone speaker sounds thin and is more like a tweeter instead of a speaker. I use my iPhone speaker in the shower when I'm getting ready to go out and the shower drowns it out. with the lumia i can set it 20/30 and i can hear it perfect. I can still go 10 more louder.
Charger:3/5 As far as the micro usb charger goes I'm not too ok with that. since when I'm charging it it feels loose inside the phone. it still charges but feels loose. Maybe a magnet charger would of been better?
camera quality:4.5/5 I've tested out the camera quality in a party with very dim lighting. the camera does get motion blur when some one is moving around and your trying to capture that but face it. its a phone camera. when everyone is settled down and facing the camera to take a picture, even in a pitch black situation the camera will still be able to take a great sharp picture because it lights you up before the picture so it can focus then fires the flashes. the pictures come out really sharp comparing it to the iPhone photos. MUCH sharper and better looking contrast.
OS: 3/5 I have no idea why when i switched my contacts from iPhone to this phone it puts them in hotmail or google???? I want my contacts to stay just contacts. and i don't want everyone i use to email in hotmail or google in my contact list. I had to delete about 300 people in the list ONE BY ONE because there was also no option to delete in bulk like the email options.i spend so much time deleting all those useless contacts off my phone. the other thing is when you add a new contact it makes you put it in hotmail or google. there is no option to just put it on the phone with out having to go trough those two.
Pros: Personal, Business

I own this phone and it is just wow. Every thing about this phone from build quality to camera quality is better. Its been 1 yr I am using it as my personal device and I love it. It gets hotter sometimes while watching videos and playing games as a result battery is not so much durable within a day as it should stay. I am not thinking of changing it unless Microsoft(Nokia) bring even high end phone later. I like it more than 950xl despite that has higher resolution and faster processor. I love it for its design and quality. The mate black surface on it feels really premium. And also I wanted to try Windows phone OS.

I'd be happy with the 1020 and 1520 devices for life!

We have owned both the 1020 and 1520 models since they came out, love them! Unmatched cameras, great features, perfect for business user. Nokia knew how to build a phone right up until Microsoft bought them. Unfortunately Microsoft dumbed down all the future models and ruined everything Nokia was, so it's doomed in my eyes, unless MS puts Nokia back in charge. However, these two models are awesome devices, and integrate wonderfully with all MS Office apps, and Adobe, so a businessperson does not need an office, especially with the aid of Live.com and it's many automated synchronization features, allowing all your devices to contain identical data.
Pros: Personal, Business, secure family wifi hotspot, ms office applications, adobe acrobat documents

For me as an IT professional no other phone can come close. I laugh as I watch other people having to charge their phone constantly and rely on apps but hey they are cool and in the apple basket. Apps who needs apps when you have full blown Internet Explorer! Office too! Will miss this phone when I get my 950XL

I've used my 1520 for over 1 year now. I came from a 920 and thought the 1520 would be a temp phone since it's so large. to my surprise after 2 hours of using it I never went back to my 920. The phone has a long battery, great screen and the size is just perfect. The apps for the phone are great. I don't miss out on any apps. I had a android before and I will never go back to a slow lagging phone again. Windows OS is great and easy to use
